im trying to decide if by altering a few things in communism and thereby creating a alteration (like republic is to democracy) that it can be saved. its not going well.

no mater how much i try i can make the economy both within and outside the communist government from following russia right into the ground. if i change elements to fix it then it no longer communist and just a another form of democracy. nothing works!

im not being negative. im trying to find a way for it to work and not have the same faults the original system had. im trying to help but i cant figure out the economy. i have mastered everything else so it works but thats got me stumped.

it works great for about 5 years and then the profit margins thatll keep the whole thing afloat just drops like a rock. if i cant fix that then everything just repeats the russia thing and we know how that ends. also the trade economy flat lines at about 2 years...

were looking for a country thatll hold up, not surpass america.

if you have no trade or profit then you can maintain the country. and with that mentality you might as well hang the dream now because you wont even get close to getting it like that :/

you NEED trade. if you dont trade then there is no ability to obtain goods needed you cant get on your own. like America cant get diamonds, most first aid materials, and metals for itself so it trades for them. and if you say "fuck you i wont trade with you because im communist and dont need it" then theyll say "hes an ass! im alining with his enemies and opposing countries!" then youll get screwed because youll endup invaded for closing yourself off and youll have something everyone wants: peace.

-_- you obviously don't understand how economics works. You trade for goods by giving money and you gain money by giving goods. It's how it works around the world. No one says "I'll give you 10 apples for 9 oranges" they what currency amounts. The source of currency is the only thing that never change or vanishes so it's the most reliable thing to trade for.

currency is the downfall though. placing so much value on something so isegnificant.
i think money should be all together taken out of the equations. money can take one up the ass. 5 apples for 3 bags of rice kinda thing is what i see best

Sadly it doesnt work that way. If you ever want to have that dream your going to have to give up a few things. If not then throw it away now because your in for a world of heart ache the like of which you have never seen.

People want something infinite. Rice can go bad but metals and gold don't. If you want the system to work and people to not starve then your going to have to do what people want otherwise your just has heartless and in denial as those stupid soviet Russian leaders were.

But that prevents people from picking things for themselves. Without a currency system your basically saying "you get this and only this" instead of letting them choose for themselves what they really want and need. And again I have to say, other countries want something infinite. They won't take art or music as a trade item. You want the chemicals to make medicine? Well then you give them so much of rare metals and basic materials they WANT, not what you think it should be.
