It's amazingly easy to get chunks taken out of you any time you're working with anything mechanical in nature.
I had a rototiller take a bit out of my leg while hefting it up into the back of the truck I was driving, took out a nice chunk about a quarter inch wide, deep, and 2-3 inches long without me even noticing until it was pointed out to me. Tore up some paper bag-like material from something we'd just installed at the place, wrapped it around my leg so it didn't bleed all over things, and eventually put some antiseptic and 3-4 bandages on it.

hahah nice, I took the pussy way out and got some stitches so I don't pull it open at work. I went right back at it and I won't miss anything so it's not all bad. Just a couple hours wasted waiting for stitches.

Never gotten stitches for anything, although I've arguably taken several wounds that would have warranted them (although, usually things like that that i get tend to be more of a gouge than a slash, so there's not even anything TO stitch, all damaged skin is simply completely scooped out by whatever). It's nice to have a pain tolerance that is basically insane, it lets you do things like walk 2 miles a day for a year with a torn leg muscle, or not notice losing chunks of flesh, and generally making people wonder if you're actually human.

Pretty damn much, third degree sprains on both ankles (at separate times) and walked on without hesitation. Occasionally my leg would just buckle and fold up like a lawn chair though. And pretty much on insane pain tolerance, I just looked down and was like "oh hell, grab me some towels and alcohol" and then thought better of it and went for stitches. I could have undoubtedly manned through it but I'd rather not fuck up my drawing arm.
