I have a pet project I've tried a couple times to get done. You'll need a little background.
I watch (or maybe now it's "used to watch") a show called "Chuck." It's basically a spy show with the premise that a typical nerd (the titular Chuck Bartowski) got involved, but my project focuses on a near-side-plot in one of the Halloween episodes.
In Chuck vs. the Aisle of Terror, Dr. Stanley Wheelwright (guest star Robert Englund) has developed a sprayable fear-inducing hallucinogen and is trying to sell it, but Team Bartowski captures him. The titular Aisle of Terror only comes into play after Dr. Wheelwright escapes into the Buy More and has to be subdued.
Now, that's just enough of the plot to ignore while I explain what the Aisle actually is. In preparing for Halloween, Buy More employees Jeff and Lester have set up a tent with some TV screens, and the content of these screens is based on a study by a Professor Schofield to see what images would scare the most deranged individuals. Apparently, it works on only the most deranged individuals, and fortunately, Wheelwright is one of these.
But I felt sort of attacked by the list. Not scared, but slighted. (Also irritated that no large-scale fears got hallucinated, but not the point.) One of the images Prof. Schofield's study turned up was "interspecies relations."
I don't think the show has ever mentioned furries. The associated picture was a closeup of a chimpanzee cheek-to-cheek with a kitten.
But still! I think people are liable to get the wrong impression from that. (And yet, even if I'm overreacting here, it still makes for a good project.) So I have proposed an image that gets as many of these subjects together as possible, for the purpose of seeing just who reacts and how.
The seven images given in the show are as follows:
1. Public showers!
2. A baby in snail costume! (Is it a baby, or a snail? I don't know.)
3. Old people!
4. Interspecies relations!
5. Black licorice!
6. Man-feet!
7. OTTERS!
I can arrange about 4 1/2 of these comfortably, maybe 6 1/2, but I can't draw worth a crap and a half. If you need my arrangement, let me know.
