Uh, legitimate like? I really, really, really like the original House on Haunted Hill. The one with Vincent Price? I actually wore my DVD out to the point it refused to play. That movie, as old as it is, is freakin' amazing, though. The way Price interacts with the woman playing his wife, poor Pratchet all nervous and babbling to people, the snarky alcoholic old woman...
It's a good horror movie. There's good characters, good acting, and a lot of suspense because you actually get attached to them. It's not a run-and-gun gore fest where you don't care who dies so long AS they die. You really, really don't want anything to happen to anyone.
"Am I actually going to lose this weight or not? >:C"
But, LOL, uh... probably not because that seems like it would ruin all the fun of everything. Besides, if I knew how I was going to die, I'd spend the rest of my life freaking out. Especially if I ended up dying young.
... Could I be my cat? I mean, one day of not having to do shit and having every reason to sleep all day would be amazing. XD
But... huh. I actually have no idea. I don't think I would switch, unless BATMAN was a viable option. But if I were Batman, I'd want to remember how fuckin' awesome I was. :C
OMG, a while back (when I had the disposable income) I used to make these salads that was made with spinach, blue cheese, strawberries, walnuts, and raspberry-walnut vinaigrette. OMG it was so delicious, and I would totally be that salad.
Just so I could say I was the QUEEN OF ALL SALAD EVER. THE MOST SUPERIOR.
... Up until somebody realized how delicious I was and ate me.
LOL. I make that exact salad, except with goat cheese and blueberries instead of blue cheese and strawberries. I'll have to try it that way too. Anyone who says fruits don't belong in salad has never tasted true deliciousness. </3
It did. I lost, like.... thirty pounds? And then I gained it all back from a mixture of stress and depression and just being LAZY.
Hell, my weight's yo-yo'd up and down so much in the past few years that it's about to drive me crazy. My goal this time is to lose it and KEEP it off. X_X
I've been afraid to weigh for the past, like, week. But I've cut junk out of my diet AND have been exercising, so it's not like I could have got worse. XD;
And thanks for the luck. Good luck to you, as well. :D
Good idea! :)
I have a belt that just barely fits me now and didn't fit me at all last month. I'll be super happy if I can get to the last notch by the end of the year~
Nuh-uh. Never heard of it, but I may end up checking it out. What is?
I've... been doing Weight Watchers stuff. My friend, andren gave me his book to use, so I've just been running with that. I'm surprised how much it's helped me, like, curb my STRESS EATING.
All you do is type in the name of the foods you've eaten, and it logs the calories, fat, carbs, etc. for that food.
If you make an account and enter your weight/weight loss goals, it'll give you your recommended nutrients per day.
And even if you don't use that function, the website has health forums, fitness guides, and nutritious recipes. (:
No, you probably should have a fruit-based vinaigrette with it. Seriously; if I have the money next time we are IRL VISITING or something, I will totally make it. ;_;
Oddly enough, there's actually a butcher shop in Blood Omen that sells human meat. So, now I can just imagine the WILLENDORF STEAKHOUSE, run by Kain. Oh my god, the commercial that plays in my mind...
Although that makes sense, right? In the thing with Iora and stuff, they freely sell human blood. XD At least in...demon territory. UH, THEY DIDN'T SERVE THAT WHERE AVALBANE AND ROBERT ARE FROM.
Not in Blood Omen. It's before Kain's ascension to power, so it's just like... HUMAN KINGDOM, SELLING HUMAN MEAT. I'll just assume Sweeney Todd's in Nosgoth, or the people are starving. Or something.
Almost anything can make salad better. It is the easiest way to use up everything in the refridgerator. leftover pizza goes surprizingly well in salad.
Either teleportation, or telekinesis. I can't really decide which one.
On one hand, it would be pretty cool to be wherever the hell I wanted to be whenever I wanted to be there. Then again, I could totally do some Alakazam shit if I could move things with my mind. And that seems bad ass as hell.
Because it's a three-way tie between hyenas, alligators (THE MOST ADORABLE FAT KIDS OF THE ANIMAL KINGDOM), and... Hercules beetles. Although, if I could swing for an animal that isn't real, I'd say durzogs.
They take two of my faves and combine it into one scaly sewer beast. ;_;
Well, I admit, I'm in the same boat as you in terms of indecisiveness. Dinos are a gimme (Particularly lesser-loved critters like Carnotaurus or Therizinosaurus...and, yes, Compsognathus :P), but there's also birds and reptiles and sea life...I like a lot of critters, really, the more unusual the better.
Mythical? Gryphons and other hybrid-like creatures. Fictional? ...tossup between Garudamon and Lapras, among others :V
And ffff, Therizinosaurus. I love it for the same reason I like Baryonyx: BIG, FREAKING CLAWS. I am a sucker for claws, man. (And, now I suddenly wanna draw dinosaurs, hahaha.)
I also get you on the liking SO MANY CRITTERS thing. There's just so much amazing stuff out there, it's really hard to pick a single favorite. ;_;
I KNOW RIGHT? I likes my monsters like I like my meat: Awesome and delicious! ....wait, that last part doesn't apply. Usually.
And hey, drawing dinosaurs is A-OK by me! We could use more badass in this world!
And yeah, I just can't pick favorites at all, ha ha. Though I can tell you what I don't like - too many people that draw just one or two of the same species, be it JUST humans or JUST horses or JUST wolves or JUST coelacanths ....okay, that last one gets a pass, but you get my point!
If somebody drew just coelacanths, they'd be my hero. Nobody draws coelacanths, it seems, except for the people who made the Darius games. Though, thanks to Darius, I now associate them with robots.
... Kinda wanna draw one of those, too. LOL.
And I think I'm a bit guilty of falling into that "draw too much of one thing" thing, though I've been trying to get out of it because it does kinda get old. I guess I can sympathize that people like certain things and want to stick to what they like, and some people can pull it off admittedly, but it seems a lot of folks get stuck in a rut where they draw one species and all of the characters look the same.
Coelacanths are cool. I've drawn Relicanth, but it's not the same thing >:/
Well drawing a lot of one thing isn't bad in itself, it's when you exclusively sell yourself to drawing just that and don't give yourself room to draw other things. It's like a cook that only bakes apple pies -- sure they might be very good pies but...there are other flavors, other desserts! Why limit yourself?
To be honest, I think all genres have their redeeming points and their failures. I'll pretty much listen to anything, but I can't hold allegiance to any one band/genre of music because there's inevitably going to be a pile of stuff that I don't necessarily like.
I could totally do without Daft Punk, though. I mean, I dig most electronic music, but almost everything I've heard from them sounds like a skipping record. It gets old.
As for what I enjoy the most... uh, really my tastes shift constantly, LOL. I have a bunch of different playlists that I cycle through until I get "burned out" and move onto the next.
I wouldn't imagine that they'd be too different, if you just mean a person in the fandom and a person not in the fandom. I mean, taking myself into consideration, my thought process is about the same as most people I've met.
You know, except for the fact that I tend to think a lot about how to draw a Puli playing a PS2 or whatever, LOL.
If you mean an actual anthropomorphic character in comparison to a regular human, uh... I can imagine they would be thinking a lot more about food and sleep and grooming. Of course, that's assuming that an anthropomorphic critter thinks like the animal it's derived from.
But seriously, it's kind of a joke that my favorite color is Christmas. I can't make up my mind between red and green, so I just kind of claim them both, hahaha.
I haven't really sat down and watched television in three years. I couldn't afford cable. D:
But but but... uh, I like most ghost hunting shows. It gives me fodder for some of my stories, and Ghost Adventures is the single most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life. It's like watching a train wreck being steered by a frat boy.
It basically IS a train wreck being steered by a frat boy.
Math is one of those things that I can't understand to save my life, and I'm not used to not knowing things. Cue me going into a downwards spiral of feeling stupid, and eventually I get so frustrated that I give up screaming. Or, at least with algebra.
I was good in math. Took me a while but learned it pretty well. My least fave thing was spanish in class. Couldn't remember the stuff to save my life. Fave mode of transportation?
So I walk everywhere, LOL. That's pretty much my ONLY option. Might not be as fast, but it gives me time to look at things.
And, fffff. Spanish class. I took that for two years in high school and two semesters in college, and I'll be damned if I can speak a lick of it. I just can't retain new languages for some reason, or at least not for any substantial length of time.
Darn. That kinda stinks that you can't drive. To get around where I live, you pretty much have to drive. Hmmm I'm running out of ideas for ???'s Must be getting tired.
I live in a really small place where it only takes about an hour to get from where I live to where all the businesses are. And I have a bike if I need to get there faster.
Granted, I'm maybe gonna be leaving come fall, so... perhaps not knowing how to drive will suddenly have repercussions when that happens, haha.
...Apparently when I have nothing better to do, I sit around and threadjack on your journals. XD
I WILL ASK YOU A REAL QUESTION TO MAKE UP FOR IT. Uh, when I think of one. (I have a feeling I already know most of the basic stuff I'd normally ask, so...)
Because I seriously don't think of what I want to say until after I say something. Which is why, at times, you get three notes in a row about the same subject.
Huh. I dunno. I kind of like bows. There's a nice sort of elegance there, and I'm not particularly interested in getting close to anything that's trying to kill me, hahaha.
Do you still play morrowind? and whether or not you do, are there any mods you can't live without?
I'm getting excited over Skyrim, and I think it's been long enough since I've played morrowind that i won't be like "didn't i already do this quest? was that in another file?" I'm thinking of installing it on my computer again, and lookin for tips
Ohhhhh, yeah. I still play Morrowind. I was just playing it earlier today, actually. I am an addict. ;_;
As for mods... lemme open up my data file folder~
I kinda have a few staples that aren't quests that I use, like Khajiit Diversity by Westly, Alternate Beginnings, and a slew of texture and model replacers for NPCs and... lanterns. And most areas, because I just kinda threw everything in to surprise myself and see what stuck after all the overwrites. Needless to say, IT WAS INTERESTING. Also, the less generic NPC mods are pretty cool.
If you play Redoran, Pax Redoran is an amazing mod. I'm mostly Telvanni, so Rise of House Telvanni is something I keep so I have something to do after reaching Archmagister.
Also? Tamriel Rebuilt, Tamriel Rebuilt, TAMRIEL REBUILT. That will EASILY eat up four times as much time as the island of Vvardenfell, and it is amazing just how much stuff they crammed in. It's a fan-made expansion pack that is better than the legit expansions, NO LIE.
Vivec's Fate is good after you do the main quest. Somebody recently completely redid the Tribunal main quest, so if you wanna try something new, there's that (it's pretty awesome).
Uh... and if you just want really tough mods? It's not lore friendly, but Nightveil Castle will kick your ass. Lothavor's Legacy is tough but doable, if not kind of hilarious for just how cheesy it all is. There's also the Dagon Fel well; it's not really tough, but it is pretty fun.
Same deal with the Haunted Tavern of West Gash, though I really liked it despite it being easy. Just a dungeon mod with a story.
Oh, and the Theurgist if you play mage.
And if you think you can run it, Deus Ex Machina. A lot of people liked it, but I didn't. It kicked my computer's ass and then I... just couldn't figure out what was going on. It is a bit... excessive.
OH GOD THIS TURNED OUT WAY LONGER THAN INTENDED, and also proved to me I am a gigantic geek.
And I'm excited about Skyrim, too, which is saying a lot considering I'm a Morrowing purist. I'm just probably not going to be able to play it for a loooong time, because my computer wouldn't run it and I don't have a current console. ;_;
I've taken about... four semesters of Spanish, and have retained just enough that I can recognize words when I see them written and can decently translate things. I can't speak it for beans. I took a year of French, too, and I only remember random words for stuff like "ham" and "fish."
I also had somebody FROM Japan try to teach me Japanese, but despite all efforts I... couldn't really get anything right, despite the fact you can see where I practiced writing it on a shit-ton of my old drawings.
I just seem to have some weird inability to retain new language skills.
You should give it a try, ive been thinking of trying German sometime too. :) I know English, Spanish, Danish, learning Russian and Icelandic xD
Anyway, give it a try. You just have to practice it every once In awhile so it sticks in your mind.

But, LOL, uh... probably not because that seems like it would ruin all the fun of everything. Besides, if I knew how I was going to die, I'd spend the rest of my life freaking out. Especially if I ended up dying young.

WORTH IT.
I must try the salad your way, too. Blueberries are my fave, and that sounds amazing. ;u;
It worked. ;_;
Hell, my weight's yo-yo'd up and down so much in the past few years that it's about to drive me crazy. My goal this time is to lose it and KEEP it off. X_X
And thanks for the luck. Good luck to you, as well. :D
I'm probably just going to measure my loss by the dress sizes I drop.
And yeah, I'm gauging mine on the notches on my belt. So far, everything looks promising in that regard. XD
I have a belt that just barely fits me now and didn't fit me at all last month. I'll be super happy if I can get to the last notch by the end of the year~
Right now, my goal is to fit in my fave jeans from high school. If I can do that by this winter? Man, I will be sufficiently pleased.
Have you heard of MyPlate? It's been really helping me lately.
I've... been doing Weight Watchers stuff. My friend, andren gave me his book to use, so I've just been running with that. I'm surprised how much it's helped me, like, curb my STRESS EATING.
... NO WAIT. DISREGARD THAT.
THE REAL EXPLANATION IS THAT I AM A GREAT WIZARD

I thank-you muchly~
...However, it's possible I've never had a good dressing for it. I have a feeling that Caesar is...not what you're supposed to use with strawberries.
CAESAR IS PRETTY AMAZING.
Oh, and blue cheese is good. And plain oil and vinegar, even if none of the restaurants around here know how to SERVE it.
But oil and vinegar is fine.
ALSO SWEET ONION SAUCE FROM SUBWAY (it's like a dressing).
And blue cheese is... just because I really like blue cheese. It is my favorite cheese EVER, okay. So good. ;_;
Ken's Steakhouse brand, I think?
But yeah, I know where it is. XD We just haven't bought it yet.
TOTES GONNA NEXT TIME WE GO TO THE STORE, THOUGH.
Although that makes sense, right? In the thing with Iora and stuff, they freely sell human blood. XD At least in...demon territory. UH, THEY DIDN'T SERVE THAT WHERE AVALBANE AND ROBERT ARE FROM.
MAKES MORE SENSE IN DEMON TERRITORY.
YEAH, THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Weird. XD
