hm.. music distribution?..What do YOU think?

Hey, it's been a month since I last wrote a journal.. I guess I don't have that much to say xD except for declaring my undying love for theblackvixen.. xD
A fan of mine, (I'd like to call him a friend/fan :P) called StrangeWolf_ actually put this idea in my mind.
He wants me to upload my music to Itunes.
First, I was sceptical. I've always lived by the policy of my music being free and for everyone to listen to.
That's when it hit me. What if I can offer songs for free in an mp3 quality and for money in a 44.1 Mhz WAV quality on itunes. That way the listener can choose whether to download it for free or support my trip to go see my girlfriend by buying the Itunes song.
The reason this hit me is because Money is the only thing keeping me and the love of my life apart. I don't draw very well.. so commissions are out of the question, I don't really have the stones to charge for writing stories.. meh.. The only thing I really can do, if anything, is this!
So what do you think?
Would you buy a song from me for around a dollar to support my trips to the US?
Then the inevitable fact strikes me as a negative influence. The quality of my recordings. I've been beating myself up over my musics lack of "pro-quality". What if I could master it so that they would actually be WORTH buying?
So I fooled around with musical mastering and I've already mastered and "stereofied" two of my original songs. I might upload one later as a reference.
but then again, What do YOU as the listener think?
Is the quality good enough to voluntarily pay for?

Posting a free and a higher-quality paid version of each song sounds like a plan to me, though. It certainly can't hurt to try!
