Alright people, this doesn't pertain to all of you, but there have been a few people who have been neglecting my heads-ups and such and wanted to address the issue.
For starters.
I wanted to point out that I have numerous warnings and notifications on my front page and journal NOT to note or shout me for commissions.
It's at the bottom of my journals for a reason, in those statements it says I will IGNORE YOU if you do note/shout. Alas, being nice, I usually end up linking them to the journal anyway. That's not the case anymore. If you note me for commissions, you will be ignored.
Commission prices, my paypal, and if I'm open for commissions are all available on my front page. If you can't click a few links to do so, and note/shout me, then your commission may take longer than before. Also, if you don't see something in my normal commissions journal, IT'S PROBABLY NOT AVAILABLE. And if you look around a bit, you can also probably find the info you need anyway.
I've tried making it a little easier on both myself and you guys, by splitting up my commissions a bit in different journals. Separating my easy stuff from my hard stuff. Look at my journal footer and front page, please.

Nom Nom icons, Draw Me icons, Aaa! Eee! Icons are NOT and NEVER WILL BE open for trades!The only way i'll trade with one of them is if I start the trade! Those icons are my high sellers and the only way I'm making money right now. My other icons I don't mind as much, but that's also if I'm in the mood to trade.
Also...
People need to learn to read rules. This is kind of an all around thing. When I post freebie journals I always seem to have a few people who don't read the journal, I won't just give freebies out in them. You usually have to answer a question or two first. But some people just dont seem to do that.
I wanted to propose to highlight the important things with colors, but you have done that already... *scratches the cheek* Maybe you should also write that "CLOSED" in red and "OPEN" in green or whatever XP
I've no clue if you can also use color in a journal, but if so you should maybe write the word "rules" or whatever in red, but on the other hand this makes things easier, which sucks after all... *sighs*

If I might offer a suggestion for the next time you're trying out freebies:
I think part of the problem with people not reading your rules stems from them being awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. That kinda encourages people to skim the details and post as quickly as possible in hopes of being the first one in the door. You might want to change things up by giving people a number of minutes/hours/days/whatever to opt in, get a list of everyone who's interested, and then use a random number generator (www.random.org is the one I usually wind up using) to figure out who the lucky individuals are.
Hopefully that'd cut down on people's need to rush, so they'd take the time to actually read things over and follow instructions properly.
Ah, who'm I kidding? There'll always be a bunch of duds who never read anything, but it's nice to live in my little fantasy world of make-believe now and then. X3

I know what you mean. It seems like most people are so inept that reading must hurt their head, so they do as little of it as possible. They quickly skim the journal, usually never making it past the title. If they see something that says "Free" and it proceeds anything having to do with art they just quickly fill in the blank with "I will give you whatever you want for free, please note me and give some shouts."
They can't help it, they are idiots.
