Alrighty,
is definitely one of the most generous boyfriends to ever exist and I just don’t even know what to do with myself. T^T
He ordered the final parts needed for my new computer along with the ones needed for his own two days ago, and they should be here from newegg in another day or two since they were shipped today from the other end of my state. Its not that I didn’t believe him when he said he was going to build me a new computer, but its still just kinda breathtaking that he’d give me such a large gift. Sappy as it is, I’m not used to getting gifts from significant others/he’s been the first to give me gifts at all actually. This was insanely generous of him and I'm so appreciative of both him as a person and the gift itself...
For anybody curious, here’s the specs to the one he’s building for me. (My current computer can’t even play full screened videos anymore without severe lag and distortion, let alone play games on. Even stupid Facebook games like Pet Society run really, really slowly. At least this poor thing lasted me for the past 7 years of my life though haha):
Socket 775 Motherboard
Intel Wolfdale 7500 2.93 ghz processor (Overclocking it to 4.0)
4 gb GDDR2 ram 1066
XFX Radeon 5870 video card
Samsung F3 7200rpm 1TB HD
NZXT Tempest EVO case
Thermal Core X Heat Sink with 120mm fan
And here in the near future I’ll be getting another Samsung F3 for Raid-0. \@A@/
Here are the specs for his own, copied from his Facebook:
ASRock p67 LGA 1155 motherboard.
Intel core i5-2500k Sandy bridge 3.3 ghz Quad core CPU.
EVGA DS SuperClocked Geforce GTX 560 ti GPU.
G.Skill Ripjaw Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 Ram.
Corsair HX Series 750W PSU.
2 Samsung F3 1TB 7200 rpm sata drives for Raid-0.
Zalman V shaped Heatsink W/120mm fan.
All packed in a NZXT Tempest EVO ATX mid tower.
A m a z i n g :c <3 This summer is going to be great since I'll have wider access to art programs that I like again, including oekaki programs, and finally be able to play some good games again.
Thank you again love, you're too good to me. ;^;

Also... Raid 0 is kinda iffy, you loose one drive, and you loose everything.
As for his machine, thats what I was going to build, until my laptop died... I spent my desktop build fund, on an Asus N71Jq
Its nice.. i7-740QM(1.73ghz), 4gb 1066 ram, 500gb hard drive, Ati 5730 gfx. Would have liked something from nvidia, but the ati isnt bad at least. I couldnt afford an i7 machine with a nvidia card that could match the 5730. v..v
The computer will have a thermalright ultra 120 in it (at least thats what i think i have in it at the moment, its something similar)

Right now i have a 1.6 ghz dual core in the system overclocked to 3.2 that runs at 28c idle and 58-60c full load under 1.45 voltage.
I got this baby for only $625. Which was a steal.
As for the cooler, I looked it up from the name. That should be just fine for doing that. I have a Zalman 9700 in my desktop. Which, I normally only use it for higher end gaming. Cause its got a GTX 285 gfx card. Which is a hell of alot more power than this laptop has.
