Contemplation of age...

Age, it's only a number, but people seem to place so much value on that little number. And for most of your life it's 2 digits, that's not such a huge thing.
When visiting friends and you are older than all or most, people often feel like the senior citizen of the group even if you are only 27 compared to your 25 year old friend. Being the youngest often makes a person feel like they are the kid of the group and have less of value to contribute than the others even if the 'youngster' is 60 and his friends 65.
Age often plays a big role in how we see ourselves, but it shouldn't. If you are comfortable with your friends and feel that you all fit in well together, don't worry about that little 2-digit number, it's meaningless. As long as you feel happy and comfortable with those you are spending time with, that's all that matters. Don't let your age interfere.
I see so many times when people post on their journals about their birthday being sad and depressing because they are getting 'older' but you are just getting more experienced in life and learning more. Thats not such a bad thing. Plus, it's not like you are closer to death... that's completely out of your control ... your life could end tomorrow but that doesnt matter. Enjoy life as it goes by and don't think negatively as your age rises. You're learning more each day and having more experiences. That's what really matters.
If you can't guess based on the topic, today happens to be my birthday.

i say it how you see life that make this matter not how old you are. if people keep on worried about there age then it mental issues and they feel like there old. like me turning 30 in June. in all truth good the last 10 year where crap! so when i i do hit 30 it well be a new adventure for me.
i agree. age is a number. i have hardly any friends my age... lol
i go there with my bf on occasion for the day
I have not been to Century 3 much since when I was in college and lived in downtown Pittsburgh. It's a pretty far drive for now but once we move closer to my new job Century 3 will probably be one of the places we normally visit.
Once I live closer to my new work, maybe my BF and I can meet up with you and your BF and go into the city some so you can go there without driving yourself.
its not driving in it. its being in it. i didnt drive when i went to phiillly. i just got my licence this year. lol
