I fave art because I like it, whether it's clean or not. Doesn't bother me an account mixes the clean and adult work.

Basically the same as Rufus, if the image looks good I will generally give it a favorite. I'm here for the art, not merely for the porn.

Personally, I don't. I'm admittedly predisposed to fave porn, but there are quite a few g-rated favorites I have just because I find them amusing in some way.

I say upload what you wish, it's your art, and it will be appreciated by people, whether it be the majority or not.

If a clean picture looks good, then I'll probably fave it, whether you draw mostly porn or not. I just have different standards for porn, and I think a lot of people do, and that leads to artists thinking that people watching them are only concerned about their porn.

I will usually not watch a artist who does mostly porn, unless I think there art thats not is worth it.

Put a penis as the thumbnail and trick them into thinking it's porn, since in my experience, unless it has a nice red lining on it, no one even bothers to look at it. Then, if it's good, people will probably favorite it anyways, assuming they're not angry at being fooled, and aren't the kind of person who only favorites hard core furry penis (which some do).

I wouldn't discriminate the merit of the art based on the artist's reputation; that's guilt by association and rather illogical. If it's art that I like, I'll favorite it, no matter who drew it.

I do think sometimes that there would be an easier time faving things if we had two labels, one for "I like the artistry/creativity/etc. of this" and the other for "This gets my rocks off," though. And, of course, that they were overlappable.

I like it, I'll favorite it. It doesn't take a lot for me to favorite something, pornographic or otherwise, though I fave general pieces moreso than flat-out porn, compared to tame work.

I'll favorite anything I find interesting regardless of who drew it. It's smut itself that I don't normally favorite. It's not that I don't enjoy it (because believe me, I do), I'd just rather watch those artists in private than clutter my page with naughty bits. No one needs to know what kind of smut I like. :V

If I'm into a piece, I favorite it, period. I have no reason to worry about linking to porn artists because I post some porn myself, and anyone who doesn't want to see the porn in a person's gallery has the option of filtering it out.

The only reason I *wouldn't* fave a piece I really like is if the artist has shown themselves to be someone I would never associate with, and therefore it wouldn't feel right to potentially send other people their way by showcasing/endorsing their work.

I would fave the cute stuff just as much as I would fave the porn. I get more moods for cute pictures than I would porn half the time anyway.

I favorite for the porn, and porn only. I come to FA for the porn. Not the community, not the "awesome art", and not for the escape from reality; I'm here for jack-off fodder.

Occasionally, a clean pic will interest me enough to +Fav it... but within a few months' time, I'll generally come along and -Fav it. I'm here for the porn.

Is the Furry community all about sex and pornography? No. Is there a disproportionate constituency interested in porn in the Fandom? I would say yes. While the percentage may be small, it seems relatively large. Lately, I am finding more and more that FA is nothing more than a porn repository and social media photo dump. SoFurry and InkBunny seem to be even more porn-centric, but I don't care for their layouts.

There is some REALLY amazing clean art out there-stuff that would absolutely blow you away. I would highly encourage you to take time after your jerkoff to a) get a gf/bf so you don't need to whack it so often (though I'm mostly kidding, to each their own) and b) take time when your lust has cooled to visit some of the galleries here, on DA, or any art site that catches your fancy and allow yourself to develop an appreciation for the art culture outside of pornography. It's scientifically proven to help regulate emotions, spark creativity, alleviate stress, and, as a bonus perk, make you seem way more cultured to peers and potential mates!

I don't think anyone refuses to fave porn because of g rated shit-they either like one, the other, or both. Liking one doesn't mean you're going outta your way to spite the other type of art.

I 'favoutire' stuff I like. That's about it.

I'll favorite any clean pic I like regardless of whether the artist draws porn (though whether I'll actually +watch an artist who is almost all porn is another matter, usually no). Rarely I'll see a porn pic I like enough to +fav but those are particularly rare, usually involving both artistic merit and paws, and are maybe 1% of my favs.

I'm actually the opposite, my favourites are mostly clean if you exclude my commissions.

Porn has to be pretty exceptional/to my tastes if I'm going to favourite it, and then I'd say it's mostly as a kind of "HELL YEAH I ENCOURAGE THIS" for the artist.

I usually just save the pron into my naughty folder and fav the really interesting conptual/funny art. Exceptions are pron that is specially arousing

Porn doesn't really affect my opinion of an artist or their work one way or the other...unless it's just...something particularly squicky to me. Then I'm unlikely to fave or watch them.

Surprisingly enough, I also fave clean art.

For example, plushes that  vixenification makes. Or there's a picture of a furry version of Doc and Marty that I found... or a picture  blackjackal made of the USS Voyager.

I won't fav porn, but if someone who draws porn does something un-porn that I like I'll still fav it.

I HAVE hesitated to watch certain people, however, if their gallery is entirely porn (especially stuff that I might find... odd.) Weirdly I've never unwatched someone for the same reason though, so I still get lotsa red borders in my submissions.

As much as i like porn i do have to say if you don't like that being the only thing someone would favorite quit doing porn if people would stop commissioning you after that it would mean they appreciate true art, but that would even come down to a single char. nude photo, I personally can look at a photo of a nude model and appreciate that its art not something to get my rocks off on but i dont know i kinda went off there XD

I generally don't fav porn, but I fav good clean art even if the artist draws tons of porn.

I'm here for the porn mostly, and that's what even made me watch you. But, I do view all of your work and look at all the detail. As far as favoriting goes, I rarely ever favorite, porn or not. If I like a piece, most of the time I'll drop a comment. And the stuff that I HAVE favorited is all clean art, from my favorite artist NeoGeen, who does no porn whatsoever. I feel kinda bad for you because you have been submitting a lot of non-porn pieces recently and have no doubt noticed a decline in views and/or favorites. But trust me, your art is still loved by many, and you will always be one of my favorite artists =)

i think you should take advantage of the two accounts and keep them separated. Just state "this is my adult art account". Even if it doesn't bother you and a lot of other folks you don't want to isolate those that have the adult images switched off or are underage (because they SHOULD have that switched off if they're still a minor). In the end it's better for you business wise and you've well established the name of both accounts.

To your direct question, Yes I'd still favorite it. I'm faving the image, not the gallery.

Far as I remember I watched you for your clean art :T I really don't mind seeing bunch of dicks in my sub notification , not that it's hard to take a quick glance at it and delete the stuff I don't want. But yeah , make a separate account if it's not too much of a headache , I'm pretty sure other people will appreciate it.

I find that the clean/porn separation of accounts works for people. I'm happy seeing my porn, but if I do see a large string of stuff I *don't* like, I'll probably un-watch the person, nothing personal.

The way it works for me is:

I am usually on late at night, after work. I can't be on all the time, due to work and tiredness and I am usually looking for a good reason to get my rocks off. I know, It's horrible. On these nights, I don't tend to look at any picture in my submissions without a red border, and typically plan to look back through later. I am watching so many wonderful artists, that sometimes my submission queue has several hundred, or thousand, submissions, and I never get through them.

When I see a particularly nice piece, tame or not, I tend to favorite it, but that is typically on the days where I have my time and am not tired. Those days I tend to look through more, though I don't honestly favorite nearly as many pictures as I enjoy.

You should totally post arts along with the dongs, the name recognition might help, because odds are more people are gonna be watching this name rather than your clean account. They may stumble across a piece while lookin for their fap material and really enjoy it---that's usually how it happens with me.

Do not understand why that would matter? Generally I expect that most viewers view faving an artwork as a way of praising the artwork and the effect it had on them regardless of who created it. A way of indicating “I Like This Artwork!” not ‘I Like You [artist].‘ So you are judging a g-rated artwork on its own merits and not judging it according to the “neighborhood” it 'lives' in.

One, clean art is nicer in my opinion. Im not on FA for the dicks, though I love them. I find that an artist that draws porn tends to put more effort into thier clean work.

There's only one situation I know of that this would inquire, which is if someone were gay/bi, still trying to come off as straight to ppl that know them, was hesitant to fave a clean picture by an artist who draws gay porn and whose style is quite easily recognized, which they feel faving could affect their image. But the way I see it, a great picture is a great picture, regardless of whatever else the artist draws, and I think that can be universally agreed on.
Plus, you can just play it off like you don't know and say your mature filter is on.

In other words, yes I would still favorite clean work from a pr0n artist

I'm not here chiefly to find porn, and I don't favorite an awful lot of it, but I don't see it as "degrading" for an artist to draw it. That's one of my headscratchers with some fellow artists; the fact they view porn as inherently "sellout" or that an artist should be raised a few pegs for drawing "real art" instead. Sex is like any other theme. Do it well and I'll like it, do it bad and I'll move on. So I don't view it as a bad thing to start with. :p

Bottom line: Nah, porn all around it doesn't stop me from favoriting a G-rated image.

I'm glad you asked--I've been wondering the same thing myself. I draw what people ask me to draw, what pleases people, and I wouldn't want to offend anyone by having porn in my gallery alongside drawings of corgis and g-rated sketches.

But it looks like people just fav what they like, and others just use their rating filter. So win-win!

I think just the fact that over a hundred people took the time to comment and reassure you on this journal, says a lot about your work. People love it regardless of what rating it has!
