The Hunger of a Demon

Moo!
The demon took her hand in his, holding it tenderly as a lover might, "If you would but step out of your sorrowful shell of a life for a moment", he said quietly and he pressed close to her damp front, feeling it rapidly cool in the morning air, "I would destroy you." he told her, such a cold statement but with a strange warmth behind it, perhaps even affection, "I would start with your heart, tearing it to pieces. Then your mind, breaking you down until there was nothing left but a child; afraid and alone. Then lastly your body, I would bend you, I would push you, I would force you beyond anything you had ever endured. Your very bones would ache, your feet would blister, even your flesh, rent and bleeding. But that would only be the beginning for you. As then I would raise that little child, I would let her heart sprout from the ashes, I would cherish and love the beautiful little girl. Then once she bloomed in cage of my hands for the first time, perfect and new--I would crush the life from her, letting her end knowing one pure moment of joy and freedom, then at last the sweet taste of oblivion."
