List of art I owe and I could use some tips ;w;
I figured I should make a list of all the art I owe in the order in which they were put on my queue (Or the order in which I THINK they were put in my queue):
1. flat colour full body for
-Paid (Outlining)
2. couple lines for
-Paid (Need to sketch)
3. Badge and icon for
-Paid (Need to sketch)
4. Traditional picture for
- Not Paid
5. Sketchpage for
- Paid
6. Sketchpage for
- Paid
If you're not up here please let me know! This is quite the list for me and I feel pretty bad that I've let it get so long. :C I am trying to rectify that while in Canada and next time, I won't take on so much stuff at once.
This list will be mostly completed in order. I am going to try and finish the most outstanding ones first. That is my main goal. Currently one of them resides back at home and I hope that
has sent it or will be sending it to me soon aaaahhh.
Thanks everyone for being so patient with me ;w; It's really nice not to feel so pressured. But but... don't be afraid to poke and prod me for information on your sketch or to poke and prod me to FINISH IT. Especially the people who have already paid. You guys have the most right to do so and I totally don`t mind prodding. In fact, it really helps me get into gear when you guys are like, "Hey! How's my commission doing?" Just be polite about it please :3
Also... was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to better manage owed artwork? Or any advice on handling commissions better? I was also wondering how I can help myself feel more motivated about doing artwork. :C I think one of my biggest problems is that I find it hard to feel motivated to do some of the artwork I owe. I dunno. Any help would be very much appreciated :3
Thanks for being awesome guys <3

If you don't feel particularly inspired to do a character at the exact moment, go ahead and do whatever one inspires you instead. Getting a piece of art done is getting a piece of art done, and is better than sittin' there scribbling and failing the piece in line. And I also find that once I complete a commission, I feel proud of myself and thus more motivated to go back and do the other :3
Thanks for the response :D
However, it does sound VERY helpful. If I could get it started I could probably try and keep up with it. I just don't know how I would go about getting that started and whatnot. I'm not very good at spreadsheets like that. Heh. Perhaps I can get someone else to do that for me :p
Thanks for the advice! :3
If I've lost interest, then I think the hardest part is starting the piece. Maybe just sit down and doodle the character. When you're doodling, don't expect the sketches to be the final project. Just have fun with them and see where they take you. Sometimes you'll get inspiration from that.
I also loose motivation when I've overbooked myself. When that happens I end up taking smaller projects and finishing those first (which is completely counterproductive). I think being very strict about your queue is necessary to stay on top of things and it's something I know I have to get better at. xC
This site has some awesome posts on topics that tie into this (plus it's very interesting): http://makecomicsforever.blogspot.com/
Doodling the character(s) sounds like a good idea... one of my commissions involves a ridiculously complex character and that is one is the toughest ones for me to tackle. So I will try that when it comes to that commission and when I lose interest in others! :D

Haaaahhhh. I do the same thing. :D; Something I also need to get better at.
That site looks very interesting. I will check it out! Thanks so much for the advice and suggestion! :D
I totally hear you about the big queue. Between school work, trades and the occasional commission I've really dug myself into a hole at the moment. Can't do anything except divide and conquer! xD
Best of luck completing everything. I'll be rooting for you.
I can definitely give you an ETA. How does tomorrow night sound for you? I know that seems over-zealous since I've been taking so long in the first place, but I tend to not break things like this (:
Once again, I'm sorry you've been waiting so long :c
Tomorrow night would be great if you think you could swing it :) Again, I'm in no rush, so if not it's no big deal, but if it comes through that'd be pretty sweet :3
