^^ Y'know this is really nothing new. It's just like using a GBA as a Gamecube controller. In fact, they could have just made the 3DS motion sensitive (assuming it isn't, I don't know) and release a Wii controller program for it. Would have saved them a ton.

3DS _is_ motion sensitive, btw.

Yeah, so they could have saved money by just making a DS card that makes the 3DS act like a wiimote. Saves time too. Buuuut maybe this time around, Sony and M$ will have learned their lesson and actually produce enough units to meet the demand. XP

Actually, Midi--all they've revealed to the public is the controller itself. They have not yet revealed the new console. It will indeed be the next generation of the Wii, and it will have lots more power and capabilities (like HD graphics output).

The cool thing is the fact that they're putting together a full-powered console where the controller is itself a screen and a motion sensor and a camera. The possibilities here are pretty interesting--you can take a lot of the user interface off of the main screen (i.e. TV) and put it on each player's controller, freeing up the main play area for more actual game play.

Yeah, I can see the advantages. I'm just saying they could have done something sooner. Still, I am excited, and thankful I didn't get a Wii. I knew they were gonna do something like this. Remember how short the DSi lasted?
