in my opinion i like Nintendo's new console. it looks good and can do something different. i dont get what all the fuss is about.

I think it looks pretty awesome. It's going to suffer similarly to most of these new innovation stuffs in that a lot of games are going to seem dumb, of course.

The controller looks like its catering to the Apple ipad/pod sheep.

well it's not hard to hate on it, so far nintendo has been making a shit load of money off of mediocrity

all i heard is it has a new controller and this gen graphics.

I get all the counter arguments of "its too early" or "wait till its out" etc. but to that i say: what does it bring to the gaming world that's innovative? all the most recent consoles have brought something new to the gaming world, or, in some cases, vastly stepped up an old age technology. the Wii brought a version of motion control that was hugely, at the time anyway, better than what was available, as well as being sell-able to a much wider audience. the 360 brought around a good community system and better graphics. the PS3, while also stepping up on the graphics scale as well as processing power, brought blu-ray and the ability for much larger games, what with the added space for game data. can we think of anything that this new Nintendo console brings? the controller looks like a honor to the ipad smashed together with half a 3DS and a ps3 controller if it does have that doubled up shoulder button setup, and sure, the thing brings HD to the Nintendo lineup, but that's not saying much. Unless the way good old behind-the-curve Nintendo makes the software is something vastly new or innovative or even just interesting, I see no merit as of so far in this new system. feel free to counter-argue, this is after all just my opinion, but I'm at least trying to put some reasoning behind why i don't think the thing will fly

but from the pictures I've seen and few other things, I can say at least graphics and games are looking pretty awesome so far.

Also, let's remember, Nintendo focuses on selling mainly to a wider audience, meaning people with less money can play them too... why? there's a reason why Sony, Microsoft, make more... because of the millions, compared to Nintendo that makes toys and has always made toys.

hmm, true, i see your point there, about making it so people with less money can play, but you have to wonder, with such a tricked out controller and the hardware that their supposedly putting in the consoles, it doesn't really sound like something that will be "affordable" by the low cost gamer label, at least at a guess

thought the same of wii and also had a decent price... they always try to lower prices for sure, is one of their main slogans... not sure how it goes, but they will always tell you in every interview, they try to lower the price for everyone to use XD

I never bought a wii, but always wanted one... so, if all goes right, i might buy this one... who knows...

guess in the long run i do have to agree with that, might as well wait and see. till than though, it still feels like a bit of a reach, but, i guess the benefit of the doubt is there, no matter how small ^^

besides... not like I'm being a Nintendo fanboy or anything... but the Vita thing didn't really appeal to me as I thought it would XD;;;;

Oh well, I can't say I hate the thing, but from what I have seen I really dislike the thing - what is actually good, so I am not in the bad status of wanting the gadget. Nintendo has experienced how they can make endless money with a load of casual crap, and they are squeezing it out, the new Wii is basically made for all family's casual shit, and I can't stand it. So I am kinda happy that the console is crappy in my eyes, so I don't want to have it and nevermind ^^" Cause the thing is, I do not have enough time anymore for much of gaming.
