New Tablet
So, Kei got his GST check today (The real one) Sadly its already mostly spent :C Partially because my old tablet was on the verge of death and we decided we should probably buy its replacement now while we had the money to do so.
My old trusty faithful Wacom 3 Graphite has gotten too old. So old the plastic casing around the wires had become hard and brittle... and cracked right where it joined the tablet... again. It still limped along if I held the cord just right, but it was only a matter of time before it went kaput. Kei could have opened it up again, stripped the wire down, and resolder it again... but as he put it "I dont want to have to do that a half dozen times. Lets just get a new one"
Sooo we went to Staples today and saw that they had the Bamboo Pen on sale for 89.99. And a really awesome price on the Bamboo touch for $40. So we picked up the Bamboo pen for myself, and Kei grabbed the touch for himself. Well... kind of. He's evaluating if it would be a good tool for our friend with cerebal palsy. He's an architect and has wanted a tablet for his work, but he cant hold the tablet pens too well. Their just too big for him. So Kei's is checking out this Touch for him...
Anyway, got side tracked. Got a new tablet, have it installed. Might throw up a couple of practice doodles as I try and get used to this. Maybe get some of those headshot sketches off my list :3
