843

General
Some journals are personal, and some journals are business related for Kinzart. For everything else, I don't care.
That will be an important number to me for a long time.
Roughly one hour ago, my grandmother finally passed away. She decided this morning she didn't want to continue with her medical treatments involving upper respiratory system complications and a larger set of other skews. She survived breast cancer that was left untreated for a large amount of time and somehow outlived her husband, oddly due to lung cancer despite not being a smoker.
843 is the number of emails that were sent to me from her while she was alive. It's these emails that preserve a moment of time almost forever, leaving more than just a writing in stone. It's something both me and her marveled at, and something I know can see from her perspective of just how amazing that is, despite myself being a programmer.
[Farewell]
This will most likely be my last email to be sent here, but never the last to be read.
843 emails, and here we stand. Though the mind is gone, the soul lifted, and the body at rest, those 843 letters will always be preserved and never forgotten. We have always talked about how wonderful the advances with technology have taken us, but in a way, we overlooked so many things. I have never used my delete button, I sometimes hit reply, and our conversations are stored both in a temporary place like our mind, but also in a more permanent medium in a computer somewhere far away.
Though to ashes is the literal end, to these over 800 letters, some I haven't even fully uncovered...
The end... is only the beginning...
And just like those letters that are stored forever on a machine, I will never forget the endless times we've spent together, be it in person or in a virtual landscape that let us stay together no matter where we were.
To this, I bid you a never final farewell,

But the memories will always remain.
Even if we barely know you, you are in our thoughts, and in our hearts.
We all wish you well, and hope your spirit can mend as time passes. And we will be here if you need a voice to provide comfort.
