Dear Nanaki's Grandfather...

Dear Nanaki's Grandpa,
When you told Nanaki that you thought I was crazy, and needed to be checked into a nut house, I was hurt.
I thought I knew pain. I was sadly mistaken. On a day that was supposed to be joyous to me, the day Nanaki was going to tell the family that we were getting married, you told him not only to not say anything, but that he had to choose love over money. Not only that, but instead of acting like a grandparent on your grandsons birthday, decided to act like a major ass and EMBARRASS us in front of the family.
I was devastated.
Now...you have the nerve to tell us that Nanaki should get his "Vas Defrans" snipped so we can't have kids. You have the audacity to sit there and condemn him because he has an illness, an incurable illness? I know your whole thing is you wish all people of mental retardation to be sterilized so that the world isn't 'filled with THEM.' yet...this is what you call your grandson? This is what you feel he is, because of ADEM?
You have really sunk low, and I pity you, for in your old age, you shall never have glanced over your own great-grandchildren's faces in person. You shall never have the pleasure to hold them, to hug them, to ever touch them. You will not know the warmth of their hands as you hold it to walk with them to cross the street for ice cream.
I know you're going to try to keep pushing us apart. You're gonna keep trying to stop us from getting married.
If he didn't give me up for money, and for family, what makes you think he would give me up for you?
Just remember - Karma comes both negative and positive. You'll get yours in the end. I promise.

I don't know this whole story, but i'm sure it will be 100% better soon.
He then said if he did, he'd loose his inheritance.
Nanaki said he didn't care about money. He loved me.
Well, last night we had dinner with his mom at a restaurant, and she told us that his grandfather said he should get snipped so he can't have kids anymore, because he was "worthless".
I was fuming.
ADEM is a tough thing to live with, but it gives no right for his grandfather to tell him to get neutered =( Both of you ignore him and I hope you both will be happy =)
Okay, the long and short of it is this: Nanaki wanted to announce to the family that we are getting married. His grandfather, who has a track record a mile long of abuse and controlling behavior, pulled him to the side and told him he shouldn't marry me, and not to announce it.
He then said if he did, he'd loose his inheritance.

I truely believe that love is the most powerful thing in the world and people can do great things on the power of love, so just you and your guy stay strong. it'll all be good in the end.
He's actually trying to make Nanaki's mom choose between him, and her son - and she said that if it comes to it, she's choosing Nanaki, hands down.
It's a test of will. See, his grandfather doesn't realize something - I'm not marrying Nanaki for his money, as he claims.
If that was the case, when he lost his job, I would have left him right then and there.
I'm marrying out of LOVE, which is something I honestly doubt he's ever felt.
Seriously, smack him :p
THIS IS WHY I usually don't get angry/upset, and let things bother me. However...yeah. His dad got me that upset last night.
However...I have cooled down and feel a lot better today. (Typing this out actually helped.)
