I don't think you should ever take him back. Sure it's easy..but like he really messes things up for you emotionally and I think you deserve much better than that.
You don't need someone who wants to change you and mold you into some one or something else, you need someone who loves/likes you for you and won't pressure you to change for any reason other than to better yourself if that's what you want as well.
