And damn was it fun. My friend was right, modern day rifles pale in comparison when it comes to recoil and overall power. The Mosin kicked my ass. I fired exactly 20 rounds and my shoulder is absolutely killing me, even with a rag thrown over it. Secondly the thing gets HOT. I touched the outside of the bore after maybe ten rounds and it burned like hell, even trying to adjust the sights after a few shots was a mildly painful task. Being it has never been used before, the bolt was a bit sticky with a round inside of it, though that shouldn't be a problem after a while.

Anyway, it was an absolute blast to fire, a very accurate gun for never being used before, the horizontal aim was spot on, and once I began working with the sights the vertical aim was nearly perfect. I can't wait till next time I fire it, but I need to get a good cleaning kit first to keep it in healthy condition. By the way my shoulder popped about 3 times while typing this journal just to tell you how much kick that beast has. I have no regrets buying this piece now.

In other notes, I'm going on a vacation tomorrow, not coming back til Friday, so miss the hell out of me.
