Hey guys! Long time no see I've not had much chance to update here really ;.; So let me fill you in on what's going on.
Basically I'm back in London now till around October, which means I got the crappy connection again that dosn't like me. Still bugging my mother to upgrade it. But the connection will do and I can still chat on AIM and Twilight So that's all that matters, hehe. As for my activity here, well I let a huge backlog of submissions form and I've only just caught up, so I should be back on track now, hehe. Hopefully some work will be up soon too, but we'll see.
Oh! A few weeks back something big happened. I went on a short storyboarding course in Bristol, cost a pritty penny but god it was worth it. My tutor was none other than Peter Lord! ((Aka, the co-founder of Aardman studios, the guys who made Wallace and Gromit)). He's a great guy, and proof that you don't have to talk in a 'educated' manner and be a complete asshole to actually be successful. Everyone on the course got on well with each other, and we got huge amounts of work down. I actually managed to do two 70-80 frame storyboards in four days o.o It exausted me and all the drawings were crap, but damn I enjoyed it and would so do it again with the right motivation! I'd show the work to you guys but there crap and would take way too long to scan I think the biggest lesson I've learnt from the experiance would be to draw fast without referance and care little, the proportions are rubbish and everythings a mess, but the drawings seem to have a life to them I really like o.o Guess I got to find a balance between speed, life, and no-so-suckyness.
In other news, I've been asking around for work and getting nothing, just like last summer. But I did get an interview yesterday to work at the local theme park, but got called today to say they don't want me. Fuckers -.- Guess I'm working for my neighbor again painting houses and for little pay. *sighs* better than nothing.
One good thing though with not having a job is that I have more time to spend doing other stuff, and a friend of mine is in the same situation, so we'll probably be hanging out almost every other day Hehe.
So yeah that's my life just now, I've suddenly got a strong urge to draw boobies. Wish I had some life referance for that, oh well Any volunteers? j/K (kinda >.>.
