I am so freaking annoyed right now.
I paid a plush maker to make a custom plush for Nanaki after seeing his auction on Furbuy back in February. He couldn't take it down after posting it, so he agreed to make another one. I told him Nanaki's birthday was in June, and he said it would only take six weeks to make the plush. He asked for half of the money now for "materials".
He never kept in contact, wouldn't give me update photos when requested...Worst of all, I gifted the money to him via PayPal.
So I'm out eighty bucks.
Let this be a lesson kiddies - Never GIFT money for commissions, unless you can keep in contact with the commissioner, and they have a good track record for finishing commissions.
I am asking for a refund of the money I sent, since no confirmation of the plush even being worked on has been shown. The best I can do from this point is threaten to get PayPal involved, and include the contents of an E-mail.
This is another thing to keep in mind - make sure you always keep any correspondence to and from the artist on file.
