METROCON WOOOOOO
Just got back from the local awesome anime convention, metrocon. It wasnt the best on for stuff to do but the friends I made are the best. It was actually a time of freedom and pure joy for me. I was treated like an adult by all my hotel roommates and friends AND IT MEANT SOOOOO MUCH! For once when I told someone "Yeah man, see ya in a bit, gonna head out with friends" I didnt get some bullshit reason why I couldnt go or had to fill in every detail, no I got "Alright, catcha at the room or see ya at the rave or maybe like 7 when the breakfast buffet opens, its up to you." I could not handle that at first, I was genuinely stunned that I was free to do what I want and my judgement was trust-able enough to end up ok. Then the people I met were so insightful and supportive. At times it wasnt about making it to the next panel or worrying about an event, it was about the 'con experience' of hanging out with someone that has common interests and just enjoying it. Then there was the RAVE, another moment of self growth. The raves were good for the music but the energy was unexplainable. I became a hit on the dancefloor and got respect with the really good ravers. It also gave me a chance for all of the experiences and life lessons to soak in. In the end I had the greatest time yet!
