This Saturday I'm going to be taking part in my local hospice's moonlight 5K walk. Mainly I'll be trundling round in the middle of the night dressed in a silly costume in an attempt to raise money for very poorly people.

The serious bit:

The charity I'm raising money for is St. Barnaba's Hospice (http://stbarnabashospice.co.uk/). They're a palliative care provider here in Lincolnshire. Basically they provide a little bit of help and comfort for people at the end of their lives. They're not always old people, it's anyone with a terminal illness. And since death's something none of us can really do anything to avoid, I reckon it's pretty important that we do everything we can to make life better for people facing the end of their lives.
