Bamboo Tablets ??
My tablet right now is a Intuos 2 (old lol) the pen is on the fritz and only the eraser side works. While I can work with it still with abit of trying, I'd rather it worked. SO! I was going to buy a new pen for my tablet but to get the same pen I have is about $70 where as for about $160 I can get a new Bamboo Fun.
Looking at my Intuos 2 box it seems to have about the same stats as the bamboo but no pen tilt ???
Should I just save to get a Intuos 4 ? or are Bamboo tablets reliable enough to be worth getting ?
I know I could "craigslist" or something for better prices but I don't trust people enough to pay 20 bucks less for what is most likely inches away from being busted.
Opinions ?
Also sorry I haven't been on AIM or really active the past few days, been watching movies with my dad and trying to get back on a good sleep schedule.
Tomorrow I'll get cracking on my commission/trades :D

FA+

It used to only pick up the pen when I tapped like mad on the lower right corner of the tablet so it MIGHT be a tablet issuel. MY drivers are up to date so thats not the issue as well. :3
Bamboo's have pen issues to ??
Thank you for the reply btw ^^
I dunno if intuos 4 is better, they say it has more sensitivity, but as far as I'm concerned the bamboo fun is sensitive enough. Why get more sensitive when you don't need it, right? xD
Thanks for replying :D
It does have the new style surface, like the Intuos 4, though, so it'll wear through nibs at an alarming pace. A trick I heard is to tape a piece of transparency film over top.
Thank ya for the reply
Even the used/refurb'd ones on eBay are going for the same price - at least with Amazon you get customer support and free shipping.
Amazon also has the Bamboo Fun for cheaper right now, $164 w/free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-CTH661-.....751&sr=1-1
I personally own the Intuos3 and love it. It's about 1/2 the sensitivity of the Intuos4 (so the same as the Bamboo), and I honestly don't use the pen-tilt functions, myself. D: It drives me insane more than anything. The touch functions sound fun. I'd probably end up using that more than my mouse if I had it.
Some people have cursed at the Bamboo's drawing surface, but the newer models may have changed it.
Looked up how wacom is dealing with the wear issue and its alot of "nope dont hear you" on their end. kinda worrisome. :(
Let me know we could work something out :)
