Apparently there's a misconception about me

So, I guess with all the writing I've been doing, lately, people have definitely taken notice, which I'm very happy about, because, hey, I love writing. I'm very glad people are checking out my stories. But, there seems to be a common misconception that an inordinate amount of people keep making about me, which is... that I'm NEW to writing.
I can sort of see why people think this, because, most of the stuff in my gallery here is just a bunch of commissions and some voice overs. Creatively, I guess kind of established myself as just a voice actor. So, let me get this out in the open, and as clear as I can, right now.
I'm not new to writing.
What most people don't know about me is that I've actually been writing since 2004-2005. Surprising, eh? But, it's true. I didn't always write furry stuff, and I didn't start out writing furry stuff. Don't ask me what I used to write, or if you can find my old stories, though, because they're awful, and don't matter anymore. The point is, though, I've been writing for a lot longer than a lot of people think I have. :)
I believe the very first submission I posted to FA was an older story of mine back from 2008, I think, called Lustful Beach Goers. It was my most popular story on Yiffstar, at the time. Aaaand, it was crap, but people liked it, so I figured I'd post it on here. I've long since taken it down from FA, though, and I recently took it--along with all my older stories--down from SoFurry, too. For those that have paid close enough attention, they will recall that I've mentioned--several times, in fact--that I STOPPED writing in 2008. Stopped. As in, I WAS writing, and then wasn't. Because I was very upset when a flash animation adaptation of my story series at the time fell through (ironically, that wasn't being handled by me). I was distraught, upset, immature, and pretty much lost my love for writing. I didn't know how to carry on. So... I quit. 2008 was also the year that I started actively getting into voice acting, so I pretty much set all my creative efforts on that for a couple years.
Fast forward to the end of 2010, right around when my adaptation of Cruelty was finished. This was the moment that everything came back. I started talking to
kyell about collaborating, and with him just being the amazing and influential writer that he is, I was immediately inspired to start writing again. Talking to him is what really brought me back to the door, so to speak. But the turning point was when I first listened to
Alex Vance's 'The Not Writer'. That was what PUSHED me through the door. I was moved. I felt empowered. I felt more powerful and creative than I'd ever felt prior to that, and in THAT moment, I knew I had to get back into this craft. I couldn't continue sitting and letting myself stagnant. I had to write again.
So, I did.
So, here we are, today. So, you see, I'm not new to this. :) Granted, I don't have as much experience and I'm not nearly as good as my favourite furry writers and the ones who inspire me the most, like
kmhirosaki,
Alex Vance,
kyell, or
whyteyote. I certainly hope to be as good as those guys, eventually! I'm constantly writing, and people keep telling me that I'm progressing really fast; I've gotten all sorts of compliments and great feedback on my writing, and I'm extremely grateful for everyone who takes the time to even read my stories.
I guess what I'm saying here is, please don't assume that this is my first foray into the craft, just because this might be the first time you've ever seen me writing. I understand that it might be a bit jarring to see me doing so much voice acting one minute, and then see me doing a bunch of writing the next. As I said before, I imagine that I might have established myself to a lot of people as a voice actor, especially with Cruelty, but that's really not all I do, and that's not all I want to do. I am a writer, too. :) That's what I did before voice acting. Now, I'm doing both. And that's not to say that voice acting is going to take a major backseat to writing... just a small one. I've still got plenty of voice overs to put out, some of which are more adaptations, but writing is and will remain my first love and priority. :)
I just wanted to get that out there. :)

Yet some still questioned it? Hehe. Furs, sometimes you so silly... 8-P
I'm glad you've found it, though <3 it's always good to see people pick up a hobby and passion that they loved :3
and is it just me or getting story commission is like wining a lotery? tried like 24 times (comissions/gifts/requests , noone ever finished it , never even shown scraps or examples) tried both experienced writers or these who started not long ago
