Duo told me what room he was in because he forgot to ask about the book. I had told him to give the book to Duo and I'd get it off him. He was surprisingly mostly quiet about the whole thing.

Well, I'm glad you were able to recover yours. I wasn't so lucky and I think he's gone back to ignoring every message I send.

Did you try getting it back from him at AC? I sometimes wonder why he even goes to conventions if he mostly hides in his hotel room the entire time. The best hope you have is if he's going to a convention you'll be at, tell him to bring the book in his journal or a shout. Even on messenger. Maybe give him a phone number to call so you can go up and get the book. What got me was he had the book for so long before I had him give me a refund and the pages are completely blank still. He never even started to sketch or anything.

I never actually saw him at AC (and I agree, why even bother attending if you're not going to go out and socialize or work in the artist alley?), and the book I gave him has my cell phone number on the inside cover.

I am also skeptical that he's actually done it, as I have yet to see a scan, or anything. The only major con I attend is AC, so I'm out of luck on crossing paths with him anywhere else in person.

Hmm...well, I personally got sick of waiting a few months after very little replies from him and had demanded a refund. It took him a while but I got it. Then all that mattered was getting the book back. Only thing I can maybe suggest is speak to Max Blackrabbit or Duo or someone who's friends with him at AC next year if he goes. Maybe send him your cell number and tell him to call you next AC so you can go get your book from him. Make sure to tell him to take it to AC so you can get it and try to make some arrangement with him to get it back.
