Question: TF-related RPG's?
Guess it's about time I replace that last journal, seeing as it's a bit out of date. Bear with me while I try to find a more meaningful subject ^^; In the meantime:
I was trying to think, what PC or console RPG's are out there where transformation plays a big role in the plot? Chrono Cross and the Breath of Fire series are about all that come immediately to mind, but I'm no expert - there must be more out there... right?
What games with TF themes have you guys played? Any you particularly enjoyed?
EDIT: If anyone's interested,
nasuki put together a lengthy list of games that might be of interest to furs and fans of TF's alike!

FA+

but if your considering any game, I have one right here!
http://nukuv.blogspot.com/
And neato! I'll give this one a try tonight
I totally am spacing on any specifics, this is when I was like... 7.
Obviously the digimon and pokemon series.. And that old PS1 game where you got a little monster and had to level and merge it.. gosh I always think Parasite Eve but that is NOT IT... damnit I am kinda getting mad at myself for forgetting this..
in twilight princess theres the good old 'divine wolf' TF that link undergoes to enter the twilight realm.
then theres the adult TF games that we see all over here, Fenoxo's "corruption of champions", Nukuv's "Flexible Survival", "Slave Maker", and Xadera's "Nimin Fetish Fantasy" though most of those are text based.
i know a ton of other games where there is TF, but its not really part of the plot.. *cant think of any more off the top of the head*
Nintendo did a great job with Twilight Princess, for sure, as far as integrating the wolf transformation into the gameplay! Guess that feature won't be in 'Skyward Sword' though, do you suppose?
Heh, I'm a little shamed to admit how much time I've sunk into Fenoxo's and Xadera's games... I've yet to try Nukuv's, though!
Thanks for all the suggestions!
The Shin Megamei Tensei Series involved transforming into a demon, but I have yet to play them sadly :c
I'd not heard of that other series - I'll look into it! Thanks!
There is demon transformations.
Judging from the body of responses here, it looks like especially demon transformations seem to be pretty common in games. Who knew?
also this game for the SNES

Search for Eden looks really enjoyable! Though... during the extinction scene and they showed the triceratops and her babies... ;_;
Mind if i use the info you gather from this journal? TF is neat! :D
experiment and enjoy ^^
V.
The first game did have Bill (who ran the PC boxes) turned into a Pokemon through an accident with an experimental transporter, too. ^_^

A good and epic story is Fire Emblem - Radiant Dawn it's plot is a war between the human theocracy and the animalshapeshifter countries, there's one video about the war linked in the journal.
Furthermore there's the DS RPG - Sands of Destruction. Humankind is suppressed by an anthro/beastmen government (It contains also a werewolf and a lionbeast tf).
There isn't any real epic RPG in which the maincast is changed against their will, sadly.
You're right, the last two Fire Emblems absolutely qualify - I don't know why I forgot to include them! Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance both had a very nice combination of story and gameplay (but I'm biased toward strategy games like that ^^;).
I've got to get a DS one of these days, there's too many games worth playing on it...
Right now I added games like Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Cross, Threads of Fate, Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness, Dragon's Curse/Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap, Star Ocean: First Departure, SaGa series or Sands of Destruction *smirks and blinks*
Maybe I'll somehow be motivated to continue to work on the list again somehow, since there's soooooo many still in my head XP I even want to comment it, sort it by gene, etc. when I'm finished with enlisting all of the games I know XP *blinks*
Maybe you should try Dragon's Curse, since the whole game is about the main character into a dragon and it's a cool arcade RPG *snickers* But the other games are cool too after all X3
And I hope people really find it useful in the end, I'm not sure whether these games are interesting XP But I always help people getting hands on those games if they ask me for help^^ *blinks*
If you ever need some information on a game or whatever, don't hesitate to ask~<3 *nuzzles*
It's Solatorobo: Red the Hunter it was just yesterday released outside of Japan as you can see 8url=http://www.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/sola.....ons]here[/url] ;) *blinks*
It's an action RPG, where you level up, solve riddles and so on and it features a beautiful story with anthros (who can transform into humans as far as I know. I hate transformations into humans, but on the other hand that way they also transform from humans back into their original form XP *pokes the tongue at you*)
Sadly it will be released in America quite late, so either you wait, or you try to get your hands on the European version (import it or get a rom) *smiles and nods* The European version features the languages English, French, German, Spanish, Italian *wags*
I really don't know why, but after I woke up right now I just had the urge to tell this to you :D *blinks*
What wonderful fortune! I'm very glad you had the urge to post this comment :D Thank you again!
You're more than welcome, it's always great to help some nice people, especially when you share interests^^ And well, see it as a little thank you for all your gorgeous art :D *smiles wide and huggles*
If you need help with the search for the rom, just send me a note since I already know a good source :3 *tilts the head a bit and blinks*
Well, I guess it's because you're such a good person^^ I always say if someone is good, then something good will happen to him~|3 :D *gives you a warm smile* Tihihi^^ WiffWiff :D *jumps playful around*
The journal is under construction, there are many more games to list. I've talked with Nasuki about that topic today. :)
And yes, there is a Phoenix Wright Fangame, made by some japanese kemonos. Sadly it's only one case. But it was specially created by the programmer.
The japanese kemono/furry community should acquaint more of furry/kemono/tf-related games online. LOL They could do the same thing in the manga/anime resort. (I had to go over 400 mangas of tezuka to find the most of his tfartwork incl. her metamorphosis by myself for example.)
I love the Fire Emblem Series, especially the GameCube/Wii Games. They need to do more games with shapeshifter folks beside the dragons. And I love east style rpgs.
The Shining Series (Shining Tears/Force etc.) should be mentioned, too.
By the way: There is an anime of Sands of Destruction, but the storyline was alterated badly. (Even without tfs).
