Too many people these days view happiness as what you have and what you dont have...as if that alone dictates the happiness level we can expect from our lives.

It's not true. I might not have a boyfriend, or a mate....I might not have all the stuff that I want to own, or the best body there ever was...but Im fortunate enough to be born in North America, a land of opportunity and wealth that is otherwise unknown in other parts of the world.

Only a fraction of the worlds babies are born into conditions like I was, with enough money to keep me fed, and keep me healthy through my childhood. Only a fraction of today's youth make it to 20 like I have, without being exposed to drugs, alcohol, violence....underaged sex....even rape. I'm happy...and lucky..to be where I am today, who I am today.

I won't lie, even I sometimes forget even the most basic things, like this. Some would call me a hypocrite...to even post this message....but I just have to let the people who care about me know how my heart works, where my mind is.

Sometimes people say they would "Give their life" for something....something they really desperatly want..

I would give my life....to have the life I already have...thats just how lucky I am...to be me.
