I can't even begin to take the time to put together words for this. I have never seen a bigger tard blunder in my life than this. Do they honestly think this is a way to avoid losing potential profit? Once you purchase something with money that you worked hard to earn, it belongs to you. You can do whatever the heck you want with it.

Is this about the inability to erase saved games on some of their games? If so, then yea that is bullshit! They will just end up promoting piracy instead of more new game sales. I mean the 3DS' DRM is bullshit as it is, but this is getting bad! What is next for the DRM market? Maybe make you pay a fee every time you want to play the game again or maybe just do what they do for the PC games and just make a OTU code for everything... Fucking DRM...

You know Used games is fucking broad and generic and ultra vague Capcom. If they really want to profit off of games that are 10 + years old that are out of print of theirs. Then they're getting fucking greedy. Its absolutely greed and corrupt to want to profit off a game thats been sold and rebought once, twice, several times through used games dealers. Seriously, why are the videogame companies taking cues from the Music industry? It never works out well for anyone.

So Capcom is trying to fix it to where when you buy a game, it's like a "single use" game - using it once and then discarding the game? Just to prevent people from buying it used? How sad

Plus, if Capcom does this, then ALL of their games (or most of them) will have no replay value at all - I like games with replay value.

I heard it from a friend. It's stupid. Removing people's ability to re-enjoy their own games.
Also, used games are damaging? They want people to buy 10y.o. games (that aren't really available anymore)?
Or is it for new games that people finish in one week and resell it? They could fix it by making better and longer games...
If anything, this will only encourage more pirating, as people will need a cheap way to get fresh copies of the games they already paid for.
Luckly the huge drop in sale will teach them.

Reading a little further, I see that it's not quite as sinister as it was made out to be. The new game is a shoot-em-up and, according to Capcom, only the high score is saved forever. But still... Arcade games can always have their high scores erased... unless something new happened when I wasn't looking.
