that which leads a boring life

the following is a paid advertisement.
so I'm not supposed to be doing this, but.
both of my bosses are away for the next two weeks.
I am the only one currently in my quadrant; everyone else is out looking at bridges.
I /really/ don't feel like having to correct work that should have been done properly in the first place-
-it is truly amazing how someone else incorrectly filling in the bridge location box with the bridge structure type on the inspection reports can burn through several hours of your time[in that I have to refill out the front pages, print off that page and replace it on the report, or in some cases, actually fill out the report]. unfortunately, today, I lack the drive necessary to fully commit myself to this and these types of things are why I typically, try to complete these tasks on my own. some of our newest hires just. don't get it and aren't at all thorough in their work or seemingly capable of thinking beyond the basic set of instructions. I suppose it just bothers me in that when I first arrived here, I had to teach myself to do everything I do around here, from using the software to learning the inspection standards and terminology; there was no one available to teach me. I suppose I just come from an apparently old school of thought that says that you work hard for what you want, as opposed to simply waiting for it to fall in your lap.
...not that I particularily want to be involved with this line of work or doing what I do. I just keep coming back because they keep asking me and the pay is seriously, and I mean seriously, ten times better than what I'd get paid at McDicks or even any call center and I need the money for school and flight training. I'll climb over and crawl under every bridge in this province if it means getting there.
even it means no longer looking forward to weekends because they're just an indication that a week of inspections are just two days away. or that I'm spending a great deal of time away from my partner who doesn't even live here.
and one of the fans in this building sounds very, very creepily like someone's muffled sobbing. or its Beaker from the Muppets in the midst of a highly emotional conversation. I'm not sure if this is an improvement or is just worse the usual squeak of a high speed hamster wheel.
say, if anyone is willing to throw out an opinion or two, and since I'm just so burnt out and uninspired, is there anywhere you'd like to see my art go? anything I should try out?

I wish you luck with everything though :o
Also from memory I don't think ive ever seen you draw a bridge... XD
as for the reports, we usually all work collectively on the drafts while the inspection engineers do the final copies. technically it shouldn't be a huuuge issue to get something wrong on a draft. but what happens with us, is that we send the teams out with the previous report for that site so they can have a relatively recent site history as well as the site location and co-ordinates. in some[often times many] cases, a bridge or culvert site won't have a prior report to take into the field, so we send the inspection engineer in the field with a draft copy of the report, filled in with what information we have about the site and the structure location.
when a report lists "TB"[timber structure] for the location as opposed to "Devil's Creek"[or sommat], then there's a bit of an issue.
just. UGH.
Unless there's a town in Canada that's actually called Timber Structure...
There isn't.
As for art, I like your industrial stuff a lot, which appears to be the majority of you art work. Sorry that I can't give much feedback on that.
I can imagine that! Apply grease, quick!
if they're just plain imbeciles… well, my condolences.
artwise: how about Lux going crazy over paperwork/reports and doing a kamikaze maneuver on the bureau?
Hmm.. maybe a post apocalyptic theme?
