So...Lord of the Rings...

So, for the past month, the Lord of the Rings was actually re-released in theatres. The Extended Editions. It was to commemorate the new Blu-Ray release. So, they showed the extended editions of all three movies in theatres, and I NEVER, EVER thought I'd have the opportunity to see them, in my life, after missing out on them back in the early 2000's. I later fell in love with the series and I currently regard Return of the King as the greatest film I've ever seen.
So, naturally, I was jumping for joy to hear they were going to be in theatres, again. I went and saw all three films, each of which had a lovely introduction by Peter Jackson. It was one of the VERY few times the theatre audience actually clapped before the movie started, and again, after the movie was over.
The showings for all three movies were just... mind-blowingly fantastic. Half the time, I really couldn't get over the fact that I was watching LORD OF THE RINGS, extended, remastered, and on the big screen. Seriously, it just blew my mind. Return of the King, in particular (YESTERDAY!) was the greeeeeaaaaatest movie experience of my liiiiiiiife! Four hours of popcorn, Coke Zero, Dibs Ice Cream, and cinematic movie greatness. :D
Sorry, Avatar, I'm gonna let you do your thing, but Return of the King is the best film of all time! Of all time! :P
Beyond that, I've been thinking over it for a while, and with several people actually thinking I sounded like Elijah Wood in Cruelty (that shouldn't have happened) and like Orlando Bloom in Last Men Standing (that shouldn't have happened either), I went and did a little practicing, and found that I could actually pull off the voices for their characters in Lord of the Rings. To that end, I also talked with
foxamoore, who did the soundtrack for Cruelty and Red Lantern, about doing a small radio play for the Lord of the Rings. Soooo, Fox Amoore would be my wonderful Howard Shore composer to my Peter Jackson directing, I'd very likely voice Frodo, Sam, and Legolas, whereas
Alex Vance's would likely voice characters like Elrond, Gandalf, Gimli, and/or Pippin.
It's not like this would be something completely new for me. Remember this - http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2159320/ - I've done voice acting for Lord of the Rings, before, but sadly, it wasn't for any real known characters. But this radio play... now that would be something REALLY fun. But, this is kinda far off into the future, in any case. Any Lord of the Rings media directed or produced by me wouldn't really see the light of day until late next year. And I mean, like around August or September, next year.
Hey, maybe I'll even release it right around the time The Hobbit comes out!
(And then maybe Peter Jackson will cast me into the movies!)
