Reason for Lack of Art + New PC
Okay, no art lately because I've been working my balls off at the movie theater due to the Transformers release. It's been busy as hell, and I've been working several days in a row, separating me from my computer. x-x
BUT ANYWAY
I'm getting a new computer. My old one is small and doesn't have room for more RAM, the video card is feeling dated, the processor is dated (i5 dual core, 2.5 ghz), and its 250 GB HD is nearly always full, even after deleting files. So, yeah, instead of upgrading each individual part, it's time to get a new PC.
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-960 3.20 GHz 8M Intel Smart Cache LGA1366
HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Hard Drive)
MEMORY: 12GB (2GBx6) DDR3/1600MHz Triple Channel Memory Module (Kingston HyperX)
MOTHERBOARD: (3-Way SLI Support) EVGA X58 SLI™ 3 Intel X58 Chipset SLI/CrossFireX Triple-Channel DDR3/1600+ ATX Mainboard w/ 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, USB3.0, 2 x SATA-III, RAID, 3 Gen2 PCIe, 2 PCIe X1 & 1 PCI
SOUND: Creative Labs SB Audigy SE
VIDEO: AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 16X PCIe Video Card (Major Brand Powered by AMD)
Plus: new keyboard, gaming mouse, a FREE 96 dollar headset, and a new speaker system.
All this, including shipping, for 1200 dollars after getting 5% off for their July 4th coupon. (And due to said coupon, technically I get a greater discount for the headset which is later rebated for its full price.)
Mark off about up to 500 dollars for rebates.
I basically bought a premium desktop PC WITH said peripherals for like 700. That's about how much I would've spent building the PC by hand.
Cyberpower is fucking love.
