My tablet has actually done the same, and still occasionally does. A quick restart usually fixes it for me.
I'm sure you probably already have, but just throwing it out there just in case :x
The characters saying it and the responses they got became a running gag. It's actually a pretty good series.
It's a miracle mine's lasted as long as it has.
Everything electronic you touch breaks. >.-.>
and you don't even do anything that would cause it to break! D:
As someone who virtually never has electronics break on him and who has dealt with plenty of people for whom they do, I really seriously doubt that. They say, "oh but nothing ever happened to it!" And then you see them put their laptop in their bookbag which they throw around and drop like it's full of nothing but books. Or they close the lid and put it in there and walk away, while it's still shutting down, hard drive grinding away as they bounce down the hall. Or they yank cords -- power, USB, whatever -- out by the cord, instead of by the plug, and just ball them up and shove them in their bag. Or they dropped their phone three times in as many months. Or... you get the picture. Honestly some of the things people do to their stuff, I'm shocked it still fucking works.
My friend used my cell and was like wow this new? Nope 2 years old... just got my 1st tiny mark from dropping it at work and I was pissed xD
But I'm sure razr is a good boy and never rapes his USB slot with dongles.
But yeah.. really its a tablet, i hardly take it around much. it just sits places.
i have a spare bamboo if you wanna use t for a while
Could I pay you in advance for the colouring of that sketch you did for me with the Great Jaggi (IA) many months back? I think that would help pay towards getting a new tablet for you to draw on. Your art (and online presence) is sorely missed. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
But, as I said. Check with another computer, it might be just being whiny towards your netbook.
I was genuinely surprised that nobody had said it before this point.
Give that a try Razr bud.
ALL of the wacom tablets I ever got still work!
I even have an about 20 year old monstrous 20x12 inch wacom that still works. Except it's unwieldy, stinks of cigarette smoke and looks ratty.
1. old small PenPartner I got like 10-14 years ago as my first tablet, still works, just has no drivers for vista and an old serial port.
2. even older 20x12 inch Wacom that must have been an engineer's tool, that I bought used off of ebay. I like them big. Still works, but again, driver issue.
3. Tiny bamboo I got to replace the PenPartner for quick sketches or when I was too lazy to drag out the big one.
4. Intous 3 I got for my wife like 3 years ago and now is back with me.
5. 12WX Cintiq I got about 1-2 years ago and works like a charm.
You're like that guy from Jurassic Park, who broke electronics just by coming near them. :P
But given my luck one of the tablets will break half an hour after I post this. XD
I'm going to bet SOMETHING happened to it, because those damn wacoms are sturdy as fuck. Might even be something silly like too much humidity during transport.

Can't really tell, never owned a tablet. But like many said, Wacom's drivers support can be really finiky. Good luck. :E
Also, I found something else to try:
http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=573
"In that case please try to disable the WacomVirtualHID device in device manager. If the tablet does not work at all, check under services for a TabletPC Input service and disable it."
What kind of tablet was it? I have 4 but none of them have ever broke on me.
is that some Lonely Island I sense?
A suggestion, it might be a pain, but I honestly think this will work. You need to invest in a ESD strap.
Also known as a ElectroStatic Discharge strap, it reduces your bodies electrical potential to 0, by grounding you out. The strap goes around your wrist, and the clip gets attached to something that's grounded out (the chassis of your computer for example) This should help when it comes to destroying electronics.

Then again, if you're generating your own magnetic field and inducing currents, there's little you can do to stop that :D
