In regard to the four backwoods, hick-a-billy, racist, homop

In regard to the four backwoods, hick-a-billy, racist, homophobic bastards that called me a faggot in the roughly 30 minutes I spent walking to the store and back:// Really? Do you honestly think that calling me a faggot has any detrimental impact on my day to day life? On my life at all, in fact? Your words of supposed "slander" are nothing more than the words I use to define myself on a daily basis.
Are you there God, it's me, Faggot.
According the Oxford Dictionary, we can accept the following as true://
fagot (fag·ot)
Pronunciation: /ˈfagət, /
(British - faggot)
-noun
A bundle of sticks or twigs bound together as fuel.
A bundle of iron rods bound together for reheating, welding, and hammering into bars.
We also know the following to be true://
fagot (fag·ot)
Pronunciation: /ˈfagət, /
(British - faggot)
-noun
A HOMOSEXUAL MALE.
WE KNOW THIS. This is a slang term virtually accepted worldwide to be synonymous with Queer, Fag, Homosexual, Ass Pirate, Pillow Biter, Pole Smoker, Poof, George Takei, etc. etc.
The real problem here isn't so much the fact that me, among many other homosexuals, are having to deal with all this tomfoolery [bullshit], but the fact that it exists at all. And if you dig down, my oh my, where do you find the root of the problem?
Religion.
I'm sorry, but it really is. Yes, religion has done many good things for the world, and without god in their lives, a lot of people might find it to be a less enjoyable life in realization that apples to apples, when you die, your body decays in the ground to become nothing more than just another rotation in the carbon cycle, but in the end, it's the Vatican that buried deep in the minds of others that homosexuality is not only a horrible sin, but a choice nonetheless.
In the eyes of a child not yet tainted by their parents or guardians own gospels, you'll find they do not judge one for loving a member of the same sex. Yet once the roots of a higher power have been embedded in their mind, it's hard to 'roto-rooter' them out.
Taking in context two different sets of ideals, I can fully say that I do not support organized religion in any way. If one wishes to believe in a deity, all power to them (no sarcasm intended). Honestly, I have no problem with you having your own opinion. But when it gets to the point that you are blindly following the words of men you lived thousands of years ago, taking their words as fact, and basing your life and decisions around what they thought was 'right', what good are you doing? You might as well be following the words of a vicious dictator, the likes of Hitler or Stalin. Kill millions? Okay! They did it in World War II, they did it the Crusades. Is one better than the other? No. Genocide is Genocide, whether it in the name of God, or in the name of purifying the human race. Was it right of Hitler to define "Impurity" [SIN] as the Jewish people? No. Is it right of the Vatican to define "Sin" [IMPURITY] as Homosexuals? No. What right do these people have to tell you what is right and what is wrong? They only have power over you because you let them.
If you go to church one a week, every week, simply due the fact it's what your pastor says is right, then why not do what every man tells you is right? Why not question the validity of man's coming into being through evolution in southern Africa? The facts are there to support it, but one person tells you it isn't true, and you throw all those facts out the window in favor of highly illogical counter-version of events? The facts are there to support [In excess] to support billions of years ago, the big bang occurred, bring into existence every thing as we know it, yet some book tells you an invisible omniscient being only made it look like that 6000 years ago when he, oh, I don't know, got bored?
In conclusion, I want to say a few things.
1. I say fuck the church with the same whole-heartedness that Weezy says fuck the police.
2. If you do believe in God, do not think I dislike you or that part of you. Just do it at home, doing what you think is right, living in a way you think that God would be proud of, not in a multi-million dollar Church, following the words of someone who (under normal circumstances) you wouldn't let run your life. You are you are, and if you are my friend or family, you know that I really am okay with every bit of you. Not every one is the same, and it's our differences that make us unique. I will never think less of you based on your religious of me, and I hope you can give me the same courtesy and love.
3. If you are a backwoods, hick-a-billy, racist, homophobic bastard, then you can literally go fuck yourself.
4. I cannot clarify this enough:// I do not hate the belief in a higher power, I hate Organized Religion. They are two very different things. A good friend of mine is a very devout Christian, prays for the things he knows is important, is a homosexual, and only wishes well being upon even his 'haters', yet he rarely attends church and never pushes his own beliefs onto others. If there is a heaven and he doesn't make it in, then why would you even want to try.
