K, here’s a cautionary tail if I ever heard one. Last night my neighbor was shooting off a couple fireworks we got fur today. It was one of those artillery shells with “Huge Color Burst”. Little preview. Anyway, rather then light the fuse an walk off, he held it in his hand. It didn’t go off right, and exploded in his hand. His hand is ok, if not a bit burnt. He has some 2nd degree burns on his hand around his fingers.

The thing is, is he got hit in his face by the shrapnel from the thick cardboard tube, and plastic base it sits on, and the flaming bits that went with it all. Broke his nose and scratched his eye pretty bad. He got so very lucky it didn’t hurt his eye any worse there or even lose it right there. He has to see an eye doctor this week and make sure he still doesn’t lose his eye. Poor guy looks like he got his ass kicked big time.



Moral of this story is be freakin’ safe when you go and shoot off any fireworks.

Follow the directions on the package. Don’t hold the damn thing in you hands!!

Can not stress that enough...



I have a whole bunch of these things I got fur tonight, so you can be dang sure I’ma goin’ to be careful about shooting this silly things off. I needs my paws...for the obvious reasons...murrr?...^_~...
