No Moving Jaws

About 90% of the emails I get for quotes include a request for a moving jaw.
I do not, and probably never will, offer moving jaws on my toony masks.
I personally don't like the way they look on toony suits. Watching people walk around with the mouth opening and closing for no reason on a wide-eyed, happy critter sorta creeps me out. It reminds me of a ventriloquist dummy :X
I may do moving jaws on realistic masks in the future. But for now, it's not an option.

It seems like EVERYONE asks for a moving jaw and or moving eyes. I don't see why they just can't be happy with a static jaw? I mean, articulating a moving jaw kind of breaks the flow of the face and kills a bit of expression.
Static jaws and static eyes are the best to perform in IMHO.
I don't mind doing those. I think my best eyes are that type.
Some people make them way too strong though..
By watching this video you'll understand what I mean

Shengoh, if you can't do it that's not a problem people will understand. But if you're able to do that well... some prefer with a moving jaw. As you said 90% of your customers wants that, also you could charge 30$~50$ more for a moving jaw, somethings like that.
Blarma, I don't think actually it kills a bit of expression, but giving instead. With a moving jaw I can do awesome smile and/or omg face
I didn't wanted to look rude or crual, I just said my opinion about moving jaws that's all
I wish to both of you a nice day =)

What I don't like is when it's used for no reason at all. As I said below I was watching a video earlier of fursuiters just coming up to the camera and randomly opening and closing their mouths.
I think a lot of people don't realize there's a lot of things that may seem cute to do when you're in the costume, but on the outside it just looks awkward.
I've noticed most people just want a moving jaw for the "Look at what I can do!" factor :(
To each they're own.. but it looks really dumb to me
I do think it can be a great feature if used properly though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-r1R6tBGn3o I can't find a video of myself at the moment, but Wayco makes similar sounds to me, even though she doesn't have a moving jaw. It just makes it so much cuter!!
