Moving back to the Bay Area!

Yes, after nearly a decade of living up in the North, I'm finally moving back to the Bay Area, in California. Back to California? Well, yeah. Believe it or not, I actually lived in the Bay Area for twelve years--specifically Alameda County. Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Roman, Hayward, Freemont, yeah, around there. :) I'm sure that'll surprise some people.

Yeah, Seattle. Anyone who knows me knows I love that city. I actually TRIED to move there (like seriously, I really tried to make it work), but my plan kinda fell through. :( So, to me, the Bay Area is pretty much the next best thing. I've always loved the Bay Area (except Oakland--fuck that city), and I never stopped missing it when I moved away back in 2003. Besides, it's not like I'll be able to live HERE comfortably and permanently for another two or so years (that's my ultimate goal), so... I figure I might as well spend my time living in a place that I actually LIKE, in the meantime. Make sense?
So, where am I going this time? San Jose. :) I was there for Further Confusion earlier this very year, and well... in addition to the absolutely splendid time I had at my first furry convention, it really reminded me of just HOW much I freaking miss the Bay Area. Seriously, I couldn't get over how happy I was just to be back there. Every moment was pure joy for me at FC and in San Jose, as a whole. The Bay Area (except Oakland) is actually up there with Seattle as one of the many places in America that I absolutely LOVE. And I never stopped loving it. :)
So, I figure now is a good time to move back there for a while. Besides, living up north is driving me insane. Really. Furthermore, I've been wanting to mingle with a REAL and lively furry community. I know a lot of furs in the Bay Area and the state, as a whole, and California probably has the largest, or at least, the densest furry community in the world, right now. No joke. I would have eventually been part of it if I hadn't moved away in 2003.
So, furs in California and the Bay Area! I'm coming back to your corner of the world, and I'd love to meet and hang out with you guys. Again, I'm really excited to actually jump into a real, lively community (the one up here is a joke). I'm aware of the furmeets, Thursday Night Chicken and Frolic, and... weird thing about me, I'm extremely shy in person. Like, you wouldn't believe. I can do well at a con, because I know plenty of people there, but at a furmeet? That's more like a... party. That'll take me some getting used to, for sure, but I'll definitely make an effort to go! Even beyond furmeets, though, I'd love to hang out and get to know people. :) So if any of you California/Bay Area furs feel like saying hello or anything, please do! I'll be glad to meet you! :)
