Any sort of game is fine, and it need not even be an MMO! What might really work is if you can find a game that a bunch of people want to play and organize it like a Game Club. Once or twice a week set up a point where everyone has to reach and then wait, then discuss their progress and thoughts about the game. Could work as well if there's enough interest!
