Hamsters and yoshis were two species from cartoons/games I liked! I liked drawing them so I felt like making my own one of 'em to draw, and eventually play as with other people.
I have a raccoon character too - the only real non-fan-inspired species I've used for myself. The two species above are more loud and silly and outgoing, but I keep to myself a lot so I wanted a quieter sorta loner personality character for myself, and a raccoon seemed fit best for that. 8D

Was originally a fox because of my interest in them. After that I switched to Vulpix because it mixed Pokemon and foxes. I then moved to Eevee because Eevee is adaptable and I tend to be m'self.

I've heard people liked the Vulpix more, but eh.

Hahah, originally my character was just a blue raccoon. I enjoy the color blue, and raccoons are cute, so why the hell not?

Eventually, I added fox, but liked drawing my character with super-huge ears. So, I was part fennec, part raccoon! I eventually started just calling it fennecoon :B

I'd spent a while as a wolf, felt it's qualities reflected me. Then went otter, found similar feelings for it, eventually kept bouncing between the two, not being QUITE happy with either, then one day I combined both and pow, ottolf. Been happy with the choice for the past six or seven years. Once in a while I do short stints as other species, but hey, variety is good, I know where my 'home' is.

Well some people do call otters 'river-wolves'...

More energy than a bear, tendency to chatter, and I like the idea of a prehensile tail, so part monkey. Tend to go blah in winter and I'm a bit fuzzy with some belly so bear. The rest is because I like the idea of having a knot sometimes. X3

Well, in both characters- Haya and Elluim- I was a victim of being turned into said species through roleplay. The otter though kinda came more naturally because I like to feel all swishy and fluid.

I actually started out as a black panther kitty, although my cousin gave me this free bunny avatar on SL and i desided to test it out....3 hours later I was looking through the stores for a kani avatar (best bunny on the market at the time) and settled for a muted purple kani >w>;; so im kinda torn between the two, Numair, my panther, and Nall, my bunny.

As for porn pictures of it... it's unlikely to happen. I mean, I probably wouldn't mind if someone drew adult gift art of my bat character, but I'm not going to commission it myself, for reasons I won't go into here.

My Roarey character started out like some shitty fancharacter resembling Ralph from The Raccoons, because I thought he was cute. I don't have any affinity for animals and what have you, I don't identify with raccoons or any of that shit XP. So yeah, my character is a raccoon because Ralph is cute XP.

I dun know round the beginning of March 07 i started playing Double Dash more played as Yoshi~ & fell in love hehe.. <;P Then more and more playing with his char then found a forum for him.~ Found DA then youtube, then FA~ & round DA i was already Tex.. ;3 FA jus fueled it to meh being who i am todays! ^^

Originally was a bottlenose dolphin, since at least the age of 5 and long before knowing of furry and really before the internet existed. This was my totem/spirit animal growing up, as well. Dolphin 'raised' me and taught me the true depths of love. At a critical time in my life, around the age of 18, I felt partially through real events and also through dreams, that Fox was coming to teach me new things that Dolphin could not, such as how to survive in the world of man, and how to sniff out the right path while cleverly avoiding the traps. So Red Fox became my fursona in the furry realm, as well. Every now and then I think Otter and Ferret like to stop by to have lots of fun.

This also explains my full name, as i didn't do the name bit - Swiftpaw Delphinus Fox. =) I'm not very spiritual anymore, like I used to be, but even if it's all just a way of focusing my mind I still believe they guide me. =^.^=

So, obviously yoshies are adorable little creatures but that wasn't my reason for being one. As a very young kid I used to pretend to be a yoshi when I was playing in the backyard or such and it was quite fun X3 But when I found out about the fandom rather than hide behind a fursona I wanted something to represent who I was as a person; extremely hard worker, always there for my friends, always looking to the bright side, never asking for anything in return, sometimes being stepped on because of my kindness but shrugging it off and etc. So a Yoshi was a perfect fit. I could go on but that pretty much sums it up XP

I always liked the mole characters when I read Redwall, and my first foray online was on a Redwall RP group. So I made a mole character. When the site eventually went down, I'd grown attached to the little guy, so he went with me :)

Out of all of my character creations, the green alien thing always comes back to me.

Chose husky at first because I thought it fitted me, but I realized that I am not that obedient and have a tendency to sneak behind people, scaring them to laugh and for general joking (from the bad pun to the huge scenario), therefore I changed for arctic fox.
