So, I'm still reeling from what happened, but apparently every single car based group on FurAffinity have had their galleries cleared, all submissions deleted. There was no warning from the Admins, and still no real explanation that can satisfy the furry gearheads.
A number of pictures I was very fond of are simply gone, and I didn't even have the chance to back up a copy. (especially since my laptop recently crashed and I still don't know whether the data will be recoverable)
The question is, what now? Will users start having their galleries cleared? (lord knows I have plenty of car pictures in my gallery) Will other non-furry related groups get hit as well? Or was it some sort of vendetta against car groups? The galleries were cleared without regards to content, drawn art and photos of suiters posed with their cars are gone too.
No matter what happens, though, I will continue to post both car photos and car art to my gallery until I am told to stop. I love taking pictures at car shows too much to not share it with other like-minded furs.
