I think the facts will surprise you
for instance, there are only 140 nuclear reactors in the united states that are still in operation, and they supply 50% of this countries electrical needs.
it's been well over 25 years since a new nuclear power plant has been built in the U.S. because the environmentalists keep blocking them.
one nuclear power plant provides more power than all of the solar collection facilities, wind, and geo-thermal plants combined.
Half of Wisconsins' power needs are supplied by hydro, the other half nuclear.
Americas WORST nuclear disaster, three mile island, did not leak even One Stray wave of atomic radiation outside of the reactor.
but don't take my word on it. look up the facts for yourself, and don't just rely on wikipedia.
without nuclear power, New York City, and the state of California, would not exist in their present forms
then you sir are a moron and not worth talking to or listening to.
good day
if someone wants to live in the 1930's, fine, go be a quaker or something... but stop trying to hold back the rest of the world.
as far as nuclear power is concerned, it is a thousand times SAFER than then next nearest viable fuel, Coal.
do you know how many coal fires there have been in the last hundred years? how many people have died in coal mines? what coal dust does the the lungs of the people that actually dig the coal?
do some research, look it up yourself. Nuclear power is a positive force on this planet. you cannot make it go away, you cannot uninvent it. that is illogical, irrational, and stupid.
fact: there are 140 operating nuclear power plants in the U.S.
fact: those 140 nuclear power plants supply 50% of our nations power
fact: no radiation has ever leaked from a meltdown in a U.S. reactor.
you wanted fact? there, and if you do not believe me, look them up yourself.
as far as your "facts" all you have done is stated an irrational and ignorant opinion based on scare tactics and propaganda.
now you are free to shoot your mouth off about shit you do not understand, and to make more baseless accusations.
Then I visited and realised they're really nice places to live - like, seriously. Indonesia? You want food? Oh shit son, the road's lined with banana trees and papaya bushes.
Also there's an occasional volcano but pfffff, papaya's happen every day.
Florida: Hurricanes
The Tornado Ally in the midwest
The Mississippi river valley
New Orleans for deities sake!
people will live anywhere they can, because they can... I just wish the rest of use would not have to bail them out when *stuff* hit the fan for them again, and again, and again...
That should be a bumper sticker.
