Thank you very much. I work for a company now that doesn't "investigate" my "online presence" for fear of how it represents their corporate image. Which RP forum? Is it still around?
Heat of the night, yes it is still around. Half the RPs you started are still on the board too :P
and if your company does that now, its a quarter million dollar fine (provided they are a US based company) and you have the right to sue them. Basically they cant touch your online presence for any reason. All they can do is see what websites you look at while you are at work.
I tried to log in, but sadly I couldn't remember my user or password, and it's possible that I no longer have the email address the account was set up on. I would have to make a whole new account, I think.
It's good to know that we have laws in place to protect employee privacy. I'm amazed that a law in this country would favor the employee and not the corporation, which seems to be the trend right now.
The laws (as under the books i study for my law degree) have always been in favor of the employee.
However, a corporation, as defined by law, is also a person. It can vote, it can sue and be sued, it can make a wage, pay bills. But the corporate lawyers are to blame, saying that and this to try and drag the issue out until it's lost and they can put other things in the place.
You pick up a few tricks, like a program i have on my computer. if a prospective employer looks up my name on Google. They find nothing but my FB page.
Any time someone searches for me, I am notified instantly. It monitors the web, when a search engine is used to look up my specific name, i get an alert. it doesnt tell me who is doing it, but only when they do it. So I know that if it happens during or after an interview, I know it was them.
I'm not even sure how much stuff there is- its 20 plus years of scribblings, sketching and god only knows what.
It would take me weeks to scan it all, if I felt it was worth the effort.
I'm debating just making a mass photo to show the pile and offering it as an auction.
Theres folks who love to find stuff like this- but I worry that most of it will be a disappointment.

A lot of it I wouldn't post- its just not good enough to bother.
But I am still sorting it too- the stack is 5 inches thick..
