The price will go up for new registrants after this week. However anyone that signs up before next tuesday will keep their 10$/month pricing for 2 years without any increase.

Right now it's a picture site. In the next 1-2 weeks i'll be adding a forum, then an oekaki/paintbbs board and eventually streaming art.

The artists can also offer commissions through the site at a discount if the commission remains a site exclusive.

Ooh...this is really tempting. I take it the idea is that if you keep with the month to month payment it'll only be ten dollars per month, assuming you sign up before Tuesday, but that if you do stop subscribing you simply lose the 10 dollar option if you come back. I think I'm gonna toddle over there and at least give it a tour if not subscribe today.

I have rather mixed feelings and all about this. The gist I'm getting is that in order to see anything ABDL related from any of the artists (even the ones that normally posted the work anywhere for free) on that list you'd have to join the site correct? Eh...I guess if money really is important then more power to you with how things are going during this day and age. Just don't like this idea that most of these artists who may have shown a nice amount of their work publicly will now be hiding it from anyone that doesn't have a membership to the site. I know a lot of people didn't and I know there will be people smuggling the art off the site so they don't have to join.

Maybe I might consider signing up to see the work but it's quite unlikely and even if I had the skills worthy to show my work on there I wouldn't. Rather leave most of my work viewable to everyone...

It's not like that at all. Joining CushyPen gets you extras that the artists *specifically* draw for the site. This doesn't mean the pictures they normally post on FA or elsewhere are being hidden, or that they're going to stop posting them altogether.

I'm hoping that you will notify us when content updates hit, Mif. I also kinda wish you would have gotten my feedback on the site. The launch of the site is pretty bare bones compared to what you wanted to do with it. But I have faith in your abilities, so I did a tri-monthly sub. Don't disappoint, Mif. Keep me posted when those features you said would hit the site, hit.

Offer an option for non-auto subscribe payments and I'd consider it.

The options use a smart subscribe system. At the next pay period it will ask if you want to continue your subscription.

My only concern would be that the content would be pirated or freely-distributed. I know many people have the attitude of "why pay when I can get it for free?" and I would hate for yall to get burned.

It's inevitable, but we'd like to think people want to support us rather than maliciously rip us off.

I doubt anyone is trying to ever be malicious when they let things out for free. It's all about incentivization, hopefully in this case it works out.

personally every single pay site ive ever been on has failed to keep the original promise to the artist also restricting people from seeing the artists work without paying will decrease the amount of people who will commission the artist unless that artist keeps similar works counting up to date works on alternate sites to allow viewers to know what they are capable of. the flash is a nice touch and will reduce art theft. but like i said the ones commissioning the artist would have to join and pay the same amount at the one receiving the commission. maybe if you made viewer accts and artist accts both of which were different prices allowing those who view to fit under the same rules as the artist you would restrict to regular non member from viewing. also denying paypal does lose a large about of people who would be willing to commission the artists on your site unless that is just for the joining feature of your site.

I really want to sign up, but I seem to be having problems making the payment. I get declined by Verotel every time I try to submit my information. It tells me to make sure I have the right country selected, but there is no option anywhere for selecting my country, just my language (which is English). Any thoughts?

No, it's not my card. I ordered a set of guitar strings to make sure it wasn't my card.

I've heard that some people can't register if their current address and address registered with their credit card don't match up.

Actually, immediately after I wrote that comment, Musician's Friend returned a "Declined" message saying similar shit that the Verotel message said. It was my card, and for some odd ass reason it was put on hold. Probably due to a purchase I made a few days ago. I called and got it sorted, and I'm signing up now...
