Middle-emotion day. :|

Well, the day started out pretty well. Standard day-off sort of stuff. Lounged about, tried unsuccessfully to play games...
Then it got to be a nice day, I was starting to draw again for the first time in awhile, chatting with folks I enjoy hearing from, even getting and helping with art I was in, which is always a huge pleasure... When suddenly, A SEA MONSTER ATTACKED!
Or my phone rang, whichever best advances the plot.
It was my boss. I guess someone at work bailed without a word, and he was hoping I could take their shift. Annoyed as I was to suddenly break flow of my day-off, which I was just getting into having off, I dropped my drawings and chats and went to earn some cash instead.
My day had effectively become neutral. Which is a trend that continued when I returned home to find that there was another nice little gift waiting for me on FA (thanks again, Galileo. You are far too good to me. <3 )
... upon which my first attempt to comment was hindered by my PC's graphics card abruptly pissing itself and dying. Guess that explains why my games were crashing this morning. :/ Ah well, guess this is what I have a Mac for. Y'know. -Not- dying horribly on me for silly reasons.
Even with that little issue, though, still not a bad day at all. Heck, it'd have been an amazing of a day if that hadn't happened, and the lack of balance from those always freaks me out. So... yay? My dad's holding out hope that it just needs a virus scan or a good internal cleaning, and the PC'll be right as rain again. Personally, I doubt it. Still, graphics cards aren't too pricey these days, so it's not the worst that could have happened by a long shot. Mostly, just a nuisance, and a great excuse to spend time drawing instead of dungeon-diving on Oblivion.
EDIT: Well, the PC's definitely shot to pieces. I think it might have a virus on it on top of the video card dying. Of course, dad blames me, trying to say that Steam games probably have viruses on 'em and that I shouldn't open any e-mails on there (and I don't. My mac is where I do all my e-mail stuff. :P) Ah well, these things happen. Guess I'll be spending this day off reformatting the bloody thing. X3

FA+

Don't you just love desperate attempts to say something is fine?
But yeah, damn man. Like you said there, at least it isn't the worst that could have happened.
You have the new card picked out or not gotten a chance to think about it yet?
Nope, haven't even gotten a chance to ponder. :P My dad'll probably pick the new one himself, if we can't get it feeling better. Probably whatever he can find that'll run (most of) my games for the lowest price. Which is really all I'd ever want anyway. :3
But yeah, most of the games? Hell, all you really need is Dwarf Fortress.
Gosh, I haven't played that in ages. X3 And I don't think the elves have missed me either. XP
But yeah, I haven't played it much lately either. I quit for a bit after finishing my orbital lava cannon and everything stopped being a threat :P
Aye, last I played was when some friends and I were starting a lineage LP game. I was second on the list. The first guy didn't actually even document his and spent most of his time trying to build weird traps for us. :P
Still, made my part interesting, fixing his mess and beginning construction of PORCUPINE BRIDGE. It was a 2x152 bridge that was the only way to our fort and the entire thing was nothing but wooden spike traps set to a water repeater. *sniffle* it was beautiful. ;v;
Also, the next guy's turn was interesting, because his dwarf went mad in the middle of it due to incomplete fey mood. Also, because he'd never played before. X3
I approve of that bridge so hard. Must've taken a while to get all the parts for it though.
And of course, the traps are just all part of the Fun yeah?
On a related note, yes, a year was sadly not enough to finish production alone, and the continuations went too mad/absent to finish my vision! I had to do it myself from the last save file I received, breaking lineage rules. :P
Also, if you're wondering why the elves hate me beyond all capable reason, it's probably because of the deforestation needed to create 304 menacing wooden spikes.
Also-also, if you're wondering why I don't care how much the elves hate me, it's because I have 304 menacing wooden spikes continually jutting up from the ground in front of my fortress. :3
Hah, only deforestation? No accidentally placed Dwarven Atom Smashers in the same room as the trading depot? Oh well, that still works well enough.
But yes, I do suppose 304 bloody spikes would deter most people from attacking, what a lovely image :P
THAT HELPS, RIGHT!?
also...DRAWINGS YOU SAY!?!
Also, aye, just some projects for an upcoming birthday.
Besides, these links're prostitutes. You shall have to pay for their services, my fair fellow. :|
You do have an uncanny ability to link me to giftart on those days and brighten them considerably, though. Dunno how you do it... X3
I'm gonna repay ya for it all someday somehow. <3
Also... I don't know what that means. X3 This requires investigation...!
At least it wasn't a sad day! :D
We'll cheer for that.
