Oh, 1960s art-anatomy books.. If I followed you, I'd learn that everyone is white, every man stoic and muscular, every woman feminine and 'voluptuous'. I actually like Burne Hogarth's books a lot better.. At least his women seem to be proportionally muscular.
I've yet to see an anatomy book which doesn't idealise all it's forms, though. Actually learning how to draw people of all sorts of body types, not just white, abled, strictly gendered gymbunnies, is something I'd like to do.
