So heres my story of the last week.
I had been working at Mcdonlads for about 3 weeks when i got stuck in traffic last Saturday on the way to work.
*I walk in 4-6 mins late*
(Monica) When were you supposed to be on
(me) 6, i got stuck in traffic sorry *starts walking to the sink to wash up before clocking in*
(Monica) You couldn't call?
(me) I didn't know that i needed...*interrupted*
(Monica) they didn't cover that in orientation?
(me) they didn't sa...*interrupted*
(Monica) you can go home
(me) huh? ok er *walks over to check the schedules*
A few mins pass while i search for mine
(me) Where are the schedules? i cant find mine?
(Monica) I didn't print your yet call me at 2...10 tomorrow
(me) am?
(Monica) yes
10am Sunday
*phone rings*
(Monica) hello
(me) Hello this is John i you told me to call in at 10 today to find out about my schedule
(Monica) Take the day off
(me) ok?..
(Monica) Call again Monday
(me) alright :)
10am Monday
(Lydia) hello?
(me) hi this is john Monica said to call in to find out if i work today.
(Lydia) ill check on second
(me) ok
a min or two pass
(Lydia) you don't have a schedule let me ask Monica one sec
(me) alright...
5mins pass laughter can be heard and the word night-shift a few times, the shift i had asked for.
(Lydia) your off till Thursday call back then
(me) alright thanks
Thursday 10am
(Lydia) hello?
(me) hi this is john you said to call today to find out when i work
(Lydia) Monica was supposed to leave me a note and she didn't...
(me) i guese taht means i dont work today?
(Lydia) I guess not.. *sighs* shes been doing this to another guy too im sorry.
(me)... yeah this is getting pretty frustrating...
(Lydia) can you call back at 2? that's when Monica comes on.
(me) ok will do
2pm
(Monica) Hello?
(me) Lydia said to call back now to find out when i work
(Monica) call me back tomorrow at 3
(me) ...ok
Friday in person because i need awnsers
*walks in at 2:35*
(me) is moni.. oh hi Monica, i decided to come in and find out whats up in person instead of calling :)
(Monica) ho have a seat in the lobby ill be right over
*35 mins pass*
(Monica) alright this paper says that we are terminating your employment with us due to your late attendance on Saturday, please sigh here.
(me) wait a second, it says i was 10 mins late i know i was only 5 i looked at the clock
(Monica) i could have fired you if you were one muinit late, your on a 60 probationary period when you start
(me) no warning or anything?
(Monica) no
(me) *signs paper and walks out not knowing what to say im so angry...*
So yeah that was my day how was yours *fake grin*
It was similar to this when i got hired, Monica wasn't even the one who told me, she forgot, in fact when i called in on that Thursday they said oh yeah you got it your scheduled in 2 hours...
I did hate working there but it was a job... now i might have a harder time finding another with this on my record and i only made enough money on that pay check to cover like 1-2 months of rent... I hate to sound overly dramatic but i need a hug lol this is so fucking stressful and I cant deal with the though of having to move back to my folks place... If anyone know of a place thats hiring entry level in the SA area and would be willing to throw their name at my app to help me get it let me know cause i need it right now... i need a job that i can work hard preferably dealing with people, like a cashier...
*sighs and goes to work on more job apps*

Not meaning that to sound rude but most companies will let you go for attendance especially since you were in your probationary period
What you can do is go to work force services and file for unemployment.
Its super simple that way it covers your ass and lets the manager know you are thinking about work
but yea gotta be careful, as I believe in Texas (could be wrong) they can fire you in 90days without reason, that's why 1st 90 days gotta put your best fake smile forward & be early until ya got the deal.
& as Isty said ya don't have to put it on your resume
