Picarto ■ Tumblr ■ FurryNetwork ■ Twitter ■ Discord Server Well, Im not certain yet. Milk was spilled(more like thrown) at it earlier today and so far its just been having fits. The enter key hasnt been functioning and the arrow keys dont seem to respond at all. The laptop just starts beeping madly when I turn it on and when I turn it off, it says I need to do a recovery thing. Its currently upside down, so Im waiting patiently. Only thing is... Nothing is backed up. So... I dont have any files really. Except for a select few on a flashdrive though maybe two of them is actually useful at this point.
Good thing is, Ive somewhat fixed the modem/router using my PSP charger. Its a temporary fix, but we need to find a new wire somewhere. Im scared using the charger as a power cord will damage it. Ontop of that, the voltage is different so... Yeah. My family says its okay, but I dont want to risk damaging the modem/router as well.
Currently, Im using my grandmothers computer which...isnt really useful to me art-wise. So Im gonna wait on my laptop and if my laptop is officially dead then... Im gonna have to look into a new one. :<
Too many big ups and downs in the past few days... So much stress... x.x

As for the compy, dunno how old your laptop is, but most keyboards made these days use a layer of conductive film. Sorta looks like a thin sheet of paper, only clear and plastic like with neat little designs. I've spilled tea in one of these and well... Water likes to stick in inconvient places for long time, and once that water dries and leaves behind sugary residue, it's needlessly said, a bitch to get rid of. Milk has sugar in it too, and other filmy semi-conductive compenents, even when dry, so you might actually have to find a way to clean everything out if just drying it all doesn't work, otherwise you might have a working keyboard, that....More or less works how it wants to. Mine would type out 5fkjjsj basically when trying to type in my user name for anything so... Yeah. xD
If all else fails, can take to a repair shop and get it worked on. Will cost money BUT, again. You're loved, I'm sure a little donation might help. :3
But not because it was unfixable, but because I had the money to get a new one anyway annnd...
It's fun breaking keyboards. <.<
I'd send you my old desktop, but you'd be stuck in windows xp, with a gig of ram, and a graphics card and processor that screams murder at SL. not worth 50 dollars in shipping xD
It's just likely quiet a bit of start-up processes, likely hasn't ever seen a defrag, likely has not too much ram, and maybe has a single-core processor. Otherwise, if it can handle everything later on alright, I wouldn't freak out. If your Gram is alright with you putting things on her comp, just get http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html It's a nice way of turning off uneeded processes for when you need performance, without actually turning them off entirely manually, and it's free. Ignore the purchased version thing and all the other nonsense, though. >.> It does just about as good as free version.
Sorry for preaching so much on this... Hard to hold myself back with this sorta thing. :c
