State of the Coon Address

(A/Some) fresh (news/info/meme/question/random tidbit) from Chris R. Ingtail
Working title, as that seems a little awkward to type.
As the usual, I'll do this in list format, for I suck a formatting paragraphs.
-- Been in the new apartment for a few weeks now. Gas stove, stocked fridge/freezer, and my console hooked up to 15/3 fiber optics. Got the NetFlix and ESPN3 on stream, and might peek at the Hulu channel to see if anything good is in there.
-- Having to live on a budget. and budgetting for m is simply not spending money. That's not working so hot, since work is getting slow and my checks are getting smaller. The overtime I got for the July 4th weekend didn't cover the fact that I pretty much missed 1.5 days at work (freaking cable guy).
-- My room is small. I'm OK with this. Got the 360 set-up in the living room so I feel less like a hermit. At times at the 'rents house I wouldn't leave the room except for food and to work. Feels nice being able to watch TV on a sofa.
-- Also having a full kitchen and a roommate what has a similar sleep schedule as me makes it easy to cook what I want, when I want it. I might be able to even lose a little weight, as I can cook fresh and use only enough for me. Or at the least enough for two-three people and store leftovers.
-- Work is still a grind. Learned a little tidbit about a co-worker that no one really like that I wish I didn't learn: his pay rate. Even though he has (or claims to have) previous experience in a bakery, he works under me. I'm his manager, and he makes more than me. By a solid dollar. I'm sorry, but when you're on that 90 probation, you shouldn't get a full blown check. No wonder why I can't get a trucking raise I feel I deserve, cause my boss is just giving away money to compound that we're not getting enough in.
-- Back to happier notes. Now that i live very central to everything that I do, it should be easier for me to be social. One of my friends lives in the same complex, hobby zones are 5-10 away, and my job is 10-15 away. Saving money on gas is an immediate plus, considering that my Saturn is starting to show its age. <.<
That's pretty much all for now. Gotta get back in the kitchen. My beef 'ribs' won't cook themselves, an Aussie Rules football match isn't going to watch itself, and a six-pack of Heavy Seas Golden Ale ain't gonna drink itself. :D
