The Faint - Birth [an observation]

It says "techno" in the tags, but you know I wouldn't link you to a techno video.
This is pretty much how I view birth: From a cold, scientific perspective. I find birth quite repulsive, but oddly fascinating.
I sometimes have moods where I view even sex that way. Two globs of trillions of cells, ramming against each other, sometimes to produce a third glob. Even just regular human interaction. Just big masses of articulated flesh, constantly falling forward, then catching themselves so they can fall forward again. "Walking". What are these masses of protoplasm doing? They seem so ungraceful in their thrashing about. How has The Universe manifested itself in this odd, pulsating form?
I rarely view non-human animals in this light, but it is truly horrifying for me when I do. Are we the atoms in the molocules in the cells of our galaxy?
Neurons in our brains mimic the shape of galactic filaments. Masses of articulated galaxies, made up of stars with a turnover rate, just like us [in both respects]. What's the next scale step after filaments? Can the globule of flesh inside of our uppermost protrusion ever aid us in even remotely comprehending that?
We have such a vast knowledge for our globules of flesh, yet it's all still so relative; so subjective. welp
They're an awesome band and (if I recall correctly) their bassist is super hot :3
