                    Saw it tonight.
And you know what? I think I, specifically, might be this movie franchise's target audience.
Because eff all those people badmouthing it, I don't think I've ever enjoyed a movie as much as I did Dark of the Moon. I loved every minute of it, from the surprisingly brutal combat sequences to the deliberately awkward scenes where Shia LeBoeuf is crashing and burning at job interviews. I absolutely adored Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime (I mean, for God's sake, they actually wrote in the line "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." How many movies go that far to honour one of their actors?). And I think the special effects are among the best I've ever seen.
I don't know what everyone else went into the theatre expecting, but for me, seeing Optimus Prime beating the shit out of hapless Decepticons on the big screen (and in 3D this time, no less) makes me feel ten years old again. It's been a long time since a movie got me that jazzed up. So screw all y'all, I loved this movie and I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit it. n_n

Actually, the only badmouthers are people who haven't seen it and expect it to be like the second movie.

Seconded!! Was the best movie I've seen so far this year. Favorite scene was when the humans started turning the tide of the battle against the Decepticons.
