So lastnight I found an injured squirrel in my yard with two cats about to eat it. I chased the cats away with a broom and my mum helped me capture the little beast. He was dragging his hind legs so he either fell out of a tree or the cats had bitten him, and he didn't put up a fight (I threw a soft blanket over him and scooped him up.) He is a young thing. Old enough to get by on his own but not full sized. Put him in my animal trap with a blanket and now i'm off to take him to a wildlife center. I'm glad the little guy lived through the night. Here's to hoping he'll survive.
